maura | 4 comments at the beginning of this book, 2 girlfriends go to a party. They have drinks and one is then raped. Her older brother, who they had tagged along with, rescues them. Later, I just remember one of the girls is in an abandoned neighborhood in LA near the airport, as planes fly overhead. Please help!

What year was it published? Do you remember anything about the cover? Was it YA or adult?
