I entered a giveaway and did not receive the book. I attempted to contact the author who was doing the giveaway and the site will not let me send her a message. So, I attempted to contact the website and when I submitted my question, I got a "website not available" page. I have no idea if my question went through. How exactly can I contact the author and get my giveaway prize?

How long has it been since you were notified that you won? Keep in mind that sometimes books come from other countries. The guidance from Goodreads states (but it sounds like you have already done it correctly) so this won't be too helpful:
very once and awhile, a book will be lost in the mail. Goodreads is not involved in book shipment, but we suggest that you contact the person who listed the giveaway (usually the author or a publisher). Here's how:
1) Click on the giveaway that you won. You can find your history here.
2) Click on the name of the person who listed the giveaway on the top right of the page.
3) Click "send message" on the top of his/her profile.
If you do not hear back in a reasonable amount of time, please let us know, and we'll do our best to intervene.

I had tried contacting the publisher without any success. But once I contacted the person doing the giveaway, I got a response within a day or two and got the book replaced. Be happy- I know other people this happened to and they got a few extra books from the publisher or other freebies as an "I'm Sorry" gesture. Hopefully that will be you! Also, check your "real" email associated with your GR account- for some reason that is how the person got in touch with me. They did not use GR mail.
I'm not sure where to post this, so this will have to do.
I've decided to pull out of Goodreads. I've emailed my Goodreads friends and explained why. Could someone please delete my profile?
Many thanks.

We do not delete author profiles since your books will still exist to be shelved etc by readers. If you no longer wish to be a GR author then you need to contact GR support and ask them to un GR Author your profile. You can remove the photo and spiel on the profile yourself if you want to.
Posts 1-3 belong in the Feedback group; librarians cannot do anything about giveaways.
Requests for profile deletion should, as Paula said, be directed to GR Support ("contact us" link on the help page). Librarians can't do anything about that either.
