WOW I REALLY LOVE DAREN AS ALEX :D I expected way worse. Have never seen him act, though.

Although I LOVED the book, I'm not sure about it being translated into film. It's a very mellow dystopian compared to the others so most movie-goers might find it dull and boring. It's nice to read but it's not very action-packed (dunno how they'll change things to make up for that) so it'll be a challenge to turn it into a successful movie.

Wow, then that'll be an even greater challenge. But I guess with a TV series it'll be easier to make new events and expand the story, and to keep it fresh and interesting for those who've already read it. Carrie Diaries was really short but they managed to somehow stretch it. I just hope the cast is good.

I actually like the cast (well emma roberts still bothers me.. :s) and yes you're right, they could really make it good with cool plot twists and such!

But as a tv show with Fox producing. I just hope we don't get cancelled before the first season even makes it to 10 episodes :(((

I'm worried that they won't make the movie as good as the book. I was looking at the cast on IMDB and the fact that a 36 year old man is going to be playing Liam worries me because i'm pretty sure that they are ALL supposed to be teenagers. Actually... the TV show was axed before it even got to air. So I don't think you have to worry about the cast anymore.

Yep. It did. Fox didn't pick it up for the fall season.

I cant wait to see it! I was really looking forward to the TV Series, but unfortunately that didn't happen. But one thing that confuses me is, why don't they just have the people who were supposed to be in the TV series, be in the movie? It just makes more sense! They know the characters, and most of the lines (assuming they use most of the lines that were used for the TV series). Also, they know eachother, they know how eachother acts (their skills) so they would flow better. And it would be less hassle, you know they would have to go through the whole months of watching aspiring actors try, and not quite fit in with the roles, because they already have people who fit in with the roles they were assigned.

Um well, people have been trying to get it picked up by another station, but I have the firm belief that it won't happen. It's done for right now, so really, I wouldn't expect to see it anytime soon.
