Read 'em already.
I get the bit about Liz. She really hasn't had much development yet so she just seems sorta...there. The second book adds a layer to her, but not nearly enough. I'm hoping the next one will add some depth to her as well, but I doubt it.
And I rather like Eddie.

I think I'll get to them in a few days, too.

I don't know what it is about Eddie that I don't like. It's just.. He has no problem punching a chick in the face, doesn't even think twice about it. Sure, they might deserve it usually.. But it's just one thing that demonstrates how he comes across as cold to me. He kills people left and right, and never feels a shred of guilt over it. And then in book two, (view spoiler) , he doesn't even really mourn.. Just moves on. It's weird.

Third one is a weird Arthurian deal. I liked it well enough.
Is anyone else continuing on in the series? These are really quick reads, so I figured I'd just read all three right in a row. I rated the first one 3.5 stars, rounded down to 3 for goodreads. I read the second one yesterday, and didn't like it as much, but it's still at least 3 stars (review pending).
My gripes.. I don't like Liz. I don't know what it is about her, I just don't like her at all. Maybe it was how quickly she came into the story, there was no development with her character. And honestly... I don't know that I really like Eddie either. He's just so cold.. He has no guilt or regret over killing anyone, woman or man or probably even child if he thought they deserved it. And his style of solving cases just seems to be to wander around and get lucky a lot. I hoped that was just the first book, but it happened a lot during the second as well. There doesn't seem to be much actual sleuthing going on, just a lot of coincidencing.
I don't know.. I'm still going to read the third today, I just wondered if anyone else had any thoughts :)
