Meltingclaw rolled his eyes. "I told you not to move," he snapped, "I didn't tell you not to breathe."
Meltingclaw shook his head, and continued with his work. "I would like you two to spend the night in here, I want to make sure those bites don't get infected."
Meltingclaw shrugged. "You'll be out tomorrow. But, if you go out now, there is a chance of infection which will get you in here for much longer than a night, I assure you."

Meltingclaw through back his head and laughed. "Is that what you're worried about? Soaringstar is a just leader. He has apprentice's to do that work. However, don't be surprised if your sent here to get some mouse bile!" he chuckled.
Meltingclaw looked at her, laughter still brightening his eyes. "Oh, come on! That isn't the worst possible task he could make you do!"
Meltingclaw pretended to think about it. "How about having to be treated like an apprentice again? That seems pretty bad!"
Meltingclaw briskly went to the back of his den. "You both lie down, try to get some sleep, okay?"
Meltingclaw quickly went back outside, padding over to Soaringstar. "Soaringstar," he mewed, "they will be fine. Just cuts and bruises."
"Thank you," Soaringstar purred.
"Thank you," Soaringstar purred.

Graydawn walked over to the apprentice and whispered "Brookpaw? Brookpaw are you there?" thinking if she isn't there I'm going to have to talk with Burningstar again.
Graydawn walked over to the apprentice and whispered "Brookpaw? Brookpaw are you there?" thinking if she isn't there I'm going to have to talk with Burningstar again.
Burningstar padded out of his den, stretching in the sun. "Hi Graydawn!" he mewed cheerily. Then his heart sank as he noticed her by the apprentice's den. He knew that Brookpaw hated him.
Graydawn turned around " Hey, Burningstar" she said trying to sound cheery even though she was very upset.
Burningstar dropped his head exhaustedly. "I'm sorry, Graydawn." he murmured. "I should have stayed out of it."
Graydawn went over and licked Burningstar on the ear
" It's fine" she said soothingly. "I think she just doesn't have a lot of self-estem" Graydawn suggested toher mate.
" It's fine" she said soothingly. "I think she just doesn't have a lot of self-estem" Graydawn suggested toher mate.
Burningstar stared at her, his gaze troubled. "Am I a good leader?" he asked, more to himself, than her.
Graydawn looked up into his sad eyes and said " Of course you are" while rubbing againest him.
"Everybody feels that way no matter if they are the leader or an apprentice" Graydawn said, thinking maybe that is how Brookpaw feels.
Burningstar shook his head briefly, then gave Graydawn a lick on the ear. "I remember giving you your warrior name," he mewed, "you were the first warrior I ever gave one to."
"I still remember, that was the day I truly realized how much I loved you" Graydawn purred back. Still watching the apprentice for a sign of Brookpaw.
Burningstar rubbed his head against her cheek. "It gave me so much pleasure to grant you your warrior responsibilities."
"Do you think I am a good mentor" Graydawn asked.
"but Brookpaw hates me and I don't know what to do" Graydawn said starting to panic.
"She does not hate. How could anyone hate a furball like you" Graydawn said sarcasticly.
Graydawn answered "Yes you are" and playfully pounced on Burningstar.
"Okay fine you're not a furball"Graydawn said jumping off him.
"Hmm... you can be one but most of the time you aren't" Graydawn explained.
"Well I'm still waiting for Brookpaw to wake up" Graydawn said annoyed that Brookpaw wasn't awke and because she couldn't go hunting with Burningstar.
