Some Wednesdays JSF will post a WIP piece from the upcoming book. Here are the past WIPs (she didn't tag all of them so that link goes to all of her blog posts, you just have to navigate back through to get to the start of the WIP posts).

It should go without saying, but I will anyway: There are spoilery things for the eighth book in this post. Read at your own risk.

I'll post links to the newest ones here when/if she starts posting them again.

I just *sigh* each time I read these. I get this feeling in my gut and I hate it. I need the book like, last week.

I don't know. It's just a feeling. Ab's there and I think that everything might be kosher but then again...that damn Elizabeth is there too.

I don't know. Even if she does lose her job she'll be fine. Sad, but okay. But there are so many possibilities about so many things. WHY CAN'T AUTHORS DOWNLOAD BOOKS INTO OUR BRAINS IMMEDIATELY?!

About the last two WIPWs: (view spoiler)[How ridiculous. Sexual misconduct? She's a grown-ass woman who slept with the man she loves after coming home from war! They got engaged and married immediately. How is that misconduct and something that needs to be disciplined? I guess maybe I can see conduct unbecoming a priest, still ridiculous but makes more sense. Though I'm not sure why having sex within the confines of a loving, monogamous relationship after coming back from a war zone and getting engaged and married almost immediately is conduct unbecoming, but none of the other things she's done since becoming a priest is.

Now her choice is to resign or going through disciplinary proceedings. And if she resigns she should be able to go to another parish, but then that won't happen. While I'm not sure Russ would make the same mistake with his second wife, Clare is different because she knows how much it means to him to be in MK. And she's come to think of it as home, too. NEED THIS BOOK NOW, GAH!

Also, I guess that one week thing says loud and clear that the book will take place over the course of a week. Which sucks so badly WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL AT LEAST THE BOOK AFTER FOR THEM TO HAVE THE BABY. And whatever fallout comes from Clare's decision! GAH GAH GAH. (hide spoiler)]

I like that I keep posting these for basically two people. I keep futility hoping more people will join.

As far as this week there wasn't much, but (view spoiler)[I like how Lyle seemed to care about what this new investigation will do to Russ and Clare's honeymoon plans. I'm guessing they haven't yet realized a little girl has been kidnapped, too.

Thinking more about the seven days thing, I'm really hoping the next book is well on its way, too, as I'm not sure I can wait YEARS for this baby to be born. (hide spoiler)]

I liked that one. I like that he's trying to be different with Clare. Even though he knows she'd be far more understanding of his work obligations than Linda was.

That was a nice little bombshell at the end there. I don't buy it. I mean, I buy them having the discussion but I can't see it happening. The last seven books have certainly justified their need!

I do have a hard time seeing this happen. At the same time I had a very Super Troopers flashback. It was weird.

Not much again this week, but it's okay we can't get it all before the book comes out. Though what I could really, really, really go for is a sweet scene between the two of them. So much so that (view spoiler)[the line about his wife had me flailing. (hide spoiler)]

Agreed. The angst from the first few WIPW were kind of killing me. It was nice to see him be ~considerate.
