question
What happened to the bomb?

Okay, so the army put a bomb under the dome to blow it up. They were going to stop it, but it was too late and they couldn't. Then the wall became transparent and the adults and kids could see each other, but what about the bomb??

Thats what I was thinking! I was like ummm why aren't you dead? Maybe the bomb went off and made the wall transparent

correct me if im wrong but the german physicyst person said that there were to outcomes to it; on was that the thing was gonna kill everything inside and in the outside vicinity, and the other was that something weird was gonna happen to the dome and like feed it or power it up
What Melia said- I think the bomb did go off, and instead of killing everyone it fed the dome and gave it power to get rid of the darkness and turn it transparent. I just don't think it was clearly explained~
I think that either when the barrier went clear, it disabled the bomb, or the bomb never really "went off" because the barrier absorbed the entire shock/nuclear energy. Something like that. Or maybe the bomb did go off but it didn't have the devastating effect they expected it to have.
I wonder if the wall absorbed the power and made the Darkness even stronger? Oh, that's a scary thought!!!!
I don't think the bomb is going to be a major topic in Light. I think it already went off, because Michael Grant in the past has not carried over plot-points like that into other books it the past. Things are usually resolved in one book. I agree with those who say the bomb is what made the barrier transparent.
Guys the bomb was what made the dome clear. The dome was low energy which is why it was black and starting to split, and then the dome absorbed all the nuclear energy when the bomb went off. That's why it was transparent.
I know! When I finished the book, I was really confused. Will it go off in Light? Or was there no bomb at all?

Um, I don't think that Michael would just forget about the nuclear bomb he put under the dome. And I don't think he expected us to forget either.
