What do you think would have happened if Prim had gone into the games?
I think there's a good chance she would have died in the bloodbath in the beginning. She might try to run away, but being smaller than the rest, she probably wouldn't have made it. But no, I don't think Rue would have killed her. I don't think Rue intended to kill anyone. I think she knew she wouldn't make it from the minute her name was drawn. Her plan was just to survive as long as possible.
If Prim got away in the beginning, she probably would have been easily hunted by the careers within the first few hours or days since she wasn't familiar with the forest like Katniss was. And again since she was so much smaller and weaker than the other tributes. She didn't even have Rue's ability to climb trees.

I reakon Prim didn't have the same stamana as Katniss. I reackon she would've died first day or would've been taken in allience 'cause she's medical and stuff...

I think mockingjay would come early and Prim would still cause a rebllion she would go a heal everyone and than the capatil would be really upset
Nothing would have happened because it would've been like any other year when it came to The Hunger Games. Names drawn, opening ceremony, training, interview, the Games.
perhaps in some weird way if Prim was sent to the Hunger Games then died, Katniss would be skipping part one and two and the story would build on a coup. She'd lure herself in the games of course, as intended, but she'll be ensnaring the people from the Capitol.
Honestly I think that she would'nt have made it. That would have set Katniss off and she would have took someone elses place to Avenge her sister.

Also, Rue was the smallest and knew she couldn't take anyone down, but if there was someone as small as her, then she'd feel like she's stronger than that person at least and would see a prey to hunt down.
IMHO, Prim would have died soon enough (either the bloodbath, or soon after from the hands of one of the careers.) And Katniss, I think would have run with Gail from her district. (At the very least tried to run away.)

I think if she'd stayed in her district, she would have rebelled and probably been executed for it.
I agree with a lot of you... Rue would never have killed anyone (at least not knowingly) she would have just tried to survive as long as possible. Prim's future would have been similar to Rue's. She would have tried to stay alive as long as possible.

She most probably would have died if she had decided to speak up, but I still think the most probably she would have just tried to run away. In reality, Prim was the only one keeping her from leaving the district.

I dont think rue would want to kill anyone she just hides and tries to survive, same goes for prim. They are both smart and caring girls i dont think they would hate eachother, maybe theyd just stay away from eachother. they'd probably get killed by the carreers at some point anyway.

Prim & Rue are not the kind of people that hate people so i think that they would be friends and they would probally be killed by the carers

I don't think it's a matter of stupidity. I think it would be more desperation on her part.

And if you mean she's not stupid to go for the supplies, the OK, she'll die 10 minutes later, being supply-less as well as ignorant in the ways of battle.
I'm not ripping on Prim, I liked her and was glad Katniss stepped up for her, for the very reasons I stated. She'd never survive.
Had prim gone to the games, Katniss and her mother would have prepared a grave in advance to grieve over her death.
I think she would have formed an alliance with Rue and together they would have lasted near the end by being small in stature and hiding out as much as possible. They would both know about the berries (due to their way with plants) and would probably take them together when the very end came, to keep from dying a horrible death.
I have to agree with her alliance with Rue, however maybe Katniss would talk to Peeta and have him protect her sister? Since he is in love with Katniss and has been for... well forever, then I'm sure he would have at least tried to protect Prim. If she would last to the end??? That I'm not so sure about, despite her strengths.
She probably would not have lasted long. She was described as very small and likely not very strong or cunning. She would not have been able to hunt like Katniss or outsmart the others. Plus, Peeta would have died without Katniss and she would never have found out Peeta had feelings for her.
I think Prim would like team up with Rue because they are both tiny but like Rue she would probably end up dying. She would probably also make an alliance with Peeta since he is really nice and he would help out someone as small and helpless as Prim.

Katniss had a lot of trouble finding water, and she got dehydrated. The same probably would have happened to Prim, if she survived the beginning bloodbath, but she probably wouldn't have made it as far as Katniss. In fact, she probably wouldn't even know that she should travel downhill to find water. She would just wander around and either run into another tribute or die of natural causes.
it depends if she was very smart like Katniss then ok she might have a chance. she might survive until the final....4 or 5 mabey. but if she wasnt very smart then ok she will probably die

I think that she would at least survive the bloodbath at the beginning. She'd just need to run away and she'll be good. Although she doesn't have Katniss' skill of hunting, I think that Prim would survive much in the same way Rue or Foxface did. She might've even struck an alliance with either of them. Also, Peeta might take it as his responsibility to take care of Prim in the arena, as he loved Katniss. But she certainly wouldn't be able to win the games.
She'd have Rue as an ally.
I have a feeling that Prim would either die in the bloodbath, or she would get out of there and find Rue, who she would become friends with. I really doubt she would win, but if she and Rue made friends, possibly she'd make it pretty far. I think it would either be she dies in the first few hours, or makes it far.
I think that she would have died. She's just so small and not familiar with the forest. And I don't know how she would have gotten food, she can't stand to see things being killed!
she would have died , whether by killed by another tribute or jumping of the train it doesn't matter but she would be the first one dead
she would have died within the first couple days. she was not a fighter too young and passive. just a little girl.
I think she would have been like Rue, she would have been small enough to hide for a while but then she would have gone out to get what she needed and I think the Careers would have killed her and then there wouldnt be anymore books! :'(
I see her as one of the people getting killed the first day honestly. Her and Rue would probably be allies. I still don't think they would get that far though. Considering Peeta is in love with Katniss he would probably try his very hardest to protect her beloved little sister. In the end she would die and Katniss run away with Gale.
i want to think that one of the other tributes would team up with her (besides rue) like thresh or peeta, but i doubt it would happen. she would probably die at the cornacopia.

The sad truth is that she would probably be killed. :(She might possibly team up with Rue, but that would have to come to an end eventually.
I think that she, unlike Katniss, would run to the woods and possibly survive the cornucopia by hiding there.
I think she would have been killed right at the start. She doesn't seem like the type that could run real fast or climb into a tree or anything (or be able to kill someone else) I think Cato would have won the games.
She would have hyperventalated and died first. If not, second. :/...sorry Primrose...O.O
I hate saying this, but I don't think Prim would last very long because in the first book she depended a lot on Katniss and Prim has no experience with weapons.
Murdered at the cornucopia on the first day. Katniss has to watch this with everybody else, and never forgives herself for not volunteering.

I definitely think she would have died. If not in the initial bloodbath, she'd eventually die of starvation or just be killed by another tribute. Katniss would break when Prim died, and then she would most likely die because she wouldn't do anything because EVERYTHING KATNISS DOES IS FOR PRIM. (view spoiler)

I think it would have actually been really interesting. Realistically, she probably would have died early, but if you want to create a compelling story, you could have her and Peeta form an alliance (after all, he's in love with her sister...) and maybe even with Rue and Thresh.... I think between the four of them, the alliance could go pretty far. We also can't forget about Rue's talent healing (which can come in handy if she makes it further into the game). Also, she and Peeta have the likeability factor to get sponsors. If the story is supposed to lead to rebellion again, it would be interesting because Peeta and Prim could use their nice-ness and persuasive people skills to win over the hunger games audience while Katniss joins Gale's role of local rebel.
I'm honestly just spitting out ideas because let's be real, she probably would have died early on... but I'd be interested in reading a story where Prim and Peeta team up in the games!
A lot would depend on the allies she acquired. If the other kids (other than careers) were very protective of her and Rue, then I can see the last battle of the games being between, let us say, Clove and Rue+Prim. Rue and Prim jump Clove at the same time. Clove kicks Prim out of the way and stabs Rue, but while she's doing it Prim grabs a knife and stabs Clove in the back. Boom! Boom! Prim wins.Of course, in this version Peeta and Thresh die protecting Rue and Prim, but they take out several careers in the process.
You can survive a long time in the arena just by stealth. Foxface proved that.
Prim would know her own weakness and with her healing skills she would know what she would need to survive. She would probably not die of starvation since she uses various plant when healing someone so she would know what plants are edible and what wasn't. She would probably wait out while the rest of the tributes kill each other off. And it seems likely that she would team up with Rue and/or Peeta. So I think she could have lasted a while but I doubt she would have won

How long do you think she'd survived in the arena, who would have killed her, etc.
I was thinking maybe in the beginning when they started to run for stuff in the cornucopia, maybe she would be one of the first tributes to die savagely on the hands of Cato or something like that... but then, i thought of the advice of Haymitch to run as far away as possible and try to find water instead of trying to grab stuff there. So probably she'd run away but then Rue would see her as her worst antagonist because they are the same age, so instinctively she would be after her, and because Rue can hide better, Prim would be killed by Rue in the woods.
