Lilly was diagnosed with cancer and they started radical treatments in "Whispering Rock", but she didn't die. Vanni's husband Matt was killed in Bagdahd while she was very pregnant.

Anna's Herding Cats I'd wondered a little about that too but found the author note at the start of the book explaining the overlap in the books. Think I'll read those from now on :)

I was very wrong. Glad you pointed this out. I still enjoy her books, and have read them all. I guess one little error isn't too much huh?

Yeah I was reading an actual book. Didn't know they don't include stuff like that with the ebooks. I don't read those all that often. I usually just jump right into the book. Wonder what all I've missed never reading those!

I didn't read it on ebook either, I just get the paperbacks as I have the whole collection. I will watch reviews from all of you to get those Author's notes from now on. Thanks everyone.

Valie In the 'Dear Reader' Note, Robyn Carr says that A Virgin River Christmas takes place just a few weeks before Christmas—right in the middle of Whispering Rock.
That explains why Lilly is still alive in A Virgin River Christmas.

Sue Bravo to Robyn Carr for keeping true to the events in Whispering Rock, I cannot tell you how annoying it is when the authors don't seem to adhere to their own storyline in subsequent novels.
