Karina Maze Runner has been the most confusing series I have ever read in my entire life!! but It is awesome. (:
Im almost done with the third and i don't know who's side to take..Teresa or Brenda, because right now Teresa seems like the bad guy.

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 373 comments I so need to read this book, has been sitting on my TBR pile for an unjustified amount of time...

Karina It was on mine for a looong time but joining this group pushed me to finally read it!

Karina Finally finished the series!! I made a deal with myself: I wouldn't allow myself on Goodreads until I finished the third book...yup that sure got me motivated!! I actually liked the ending..sure it was cheesy but whatever I like cheese so it's cool. ...poor Newt :'( ...and poor Thomas....and poor Chuck...and...well I was mad at Teresa because I thought she was a slinthead traitor. Anyway, awesome series :D

☼Bookish in Virginia☼ (ren_t) Love the series, not crazy about the slang.

But then again, I think inventing a new slang has proven itself to be very difficult. Can't think of any author, off hand, that's done it successfully. Anyone think of an example?

Okay Scott. Now I'll have to go back and thumb through that one. I can't remember any slang :)

---------------

Did you read the second book?

Yeah, slang is tough. I'm even more curious to read now, want to see how it's done in Maze Runner!

Yup and it was even better than the first.

I thought all 3 books in that series were excellent. Pretty much non-stop action with interesting puzzles to solve along the way.

I thought so too. Book 3 was good as well. I don't know what to think about the idea of him writing another volume.

it's a prequel.. Dashner left so many questions unanswered and I hope this will answer all of them. I don't think a prequel is necessary though.

Karina Did anyone hate the ending to the last book?..I loved it but I am very curious to know why people didn't like it

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 373 comments I just finished the first book and loved it! I'm hoping the others live up to my expectations :) Congrats on being a new moderator Karina!

Karina The second was really good but it left me more confused than ever!!
Thank you (:

Haha all the books are confusing! ! I hope the Kill Order doesn't leave me confused!

message 37: by Karina (last edited Apr 27, 2012 03:20PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Karina Haha yeah they were. But it was fun to try and figure it all out. Some parts were awful though! (as in OHH My Gosh cannot believe that happened!) it reminded me a little about the movie The Experiment(based on true events)

Scorch Trials is a bit confusing. The scope of the story widens at a dizzying rate and it can be tough to keep up but OMG it's so good. It's so heart-wrenchingly, soul-crushingly good. THE BETRAYER!!

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 373 comments Omg now you make me want to go out and get it immediately but I'm trying not to until after Insurgent!! I want to know what the Scorch Trials are so bad!!!

Karina Haha this is exactly why I try to avoid conversations involving books I want to read but haven't yet because it only makes me more impatient to get the book and find out what things are and what will happen

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 373 comments Hehe, I jump in the conversation no matter what!!

Karina I just can't anymore. There's been too many times where people end up leaving spoilers when discussing a book and I hate that! It takes out all the fun in reading it, when someone else ruins a good surprise -_-

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 373 comments Yeah I have that issue with Facebook and twitter too for both books and TV shows :)

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm with David, I just have to get in the conversation... I can't help myself! I try really hard not to ruin things for others though!

My apologies for my over excitement, I am a hardcore book pusher!

Karina No need to apologize for your excitement!! (:
And I don't think you ruined anything at all!

Katrina Welsh (katrinawelsh_) Karina wrote: "Did anyone hate the ending to the last book?..I loved it but I am very curious to know why people didn't like it"

To be honest, I wasn't too happy with the ending with of the last book. For me, it didn't feel like the author thought too much about it,like it was an easy way out, almost. I don't know. But I really did like the trilogy. Maze Runner would probably be my favourite, though.

This is an epic series and if Catherine Hardwicke ruins it for me.. I will be really upset.

Karina @Scott: She isn't a bad director, I think she just sees things differently than others. But I don't think she should direct Maze Runner!

@Katrina: I know what you mean, it did seem like a easy way out. But looking at everything they had to endure, I was glad they were finally out. And I liked that it sort of left me wondering where they would go from there.

She's also directing Maximum Ride I'm not a fan of that series though.
