Cool :)
Maze Runner has been the most confusing series I have ever read in my entire life!! but It is awesome. (:Im almost done with the third and i don't know who's side to take..Teresa or Brenda, because right now Teresa seems like the bad guy.
Finally finished the series!! I made a deal with myself: I wouldn't allow myself on Goodreads until I finished the third book...yup that sure got me motivated!! I actually liked the ending..sure it was cheesy but whatever I like cheese so it's cool. ...poor Newt :'( ...and poor Thomas....and poor Chuck...and...well I was mad at Teresa because I thought she was a slinthead traitor. Anyway, awesome series :D
Love the series, not crazy about the slang. But then again, I think inventing a new slang has proven itself to be very difficult. Can't think of any author, off hand, that's done it successfully. Anyone think of an example?

Okay Scott. Now I'll have to go back and thumb through that one. I can't remember any slang :)
---------------
Did you read the second book?

Yeah, slang is tough. I'm even more curious to read now, want to see how it's done in Maze Runner!

Yup and it was even better than the first.

Yup and it was even better than the first.
David wrote: "I'm even more curious to read now, want to see how it's done in Maze Runner! "I thought all 3 books in that series were excellent. Pretty much non-stop action with interesting puzzles to solve along the way.
Scott wrote: "Yup and it was even better than the first. "I thought so too. Book 3 was good as well. I don't know what to think about the idea of him writing another volume.

it's a prequel.. Dashner left so many questions unanswered and I hope this will answer all of them. I don't think a prequel is necessary though.

Did anyone hate the ending to the last book?..I loved it but I am very curious to know why people didn't like it
I just finished the first book and loved it! I'm hoping the others live up to my expectations :) Congrats on being a new moderator Karina!
Haha yeah they were. But it was fun to try and figure it all out. Some parts were awful though! (as in OHH My Gosh cannot believe that happened!) it reminded me a little about the movie The Experiment(based on true events)

Oh boy, I guess I'll be prepared to be confused haha

Scorch Trials is a bit confusing. The scope of the story widens at a dizzying rate and it can be tough to keep up but OMG it's so good. It's so heart-wrenchingly, soul-crushingly good. THE BETRAYER!!

Omg now you make me want to go out and get it immediately but I'm trying not to until after Insurgent!! I want to know what the Scorch Trials are so bad!!!
Haha this is exactly why I try to avoid conversations involving books I want to read but haven't yet because it only makes me more impatient to get the book and find out what things are and what will happen
I just can't anymore. There's been too many times where people end up leaving spoilers when discussing a book and I hate that! It takes out all the fun in reading it, when someone else ruins a good surprise -_-
I'm with David, I just have to get in the conversation... I can't help myself! I try really hard not to ruin things for others though!
My apologies for my over excitement, I am a hardcore book pusher!

Karina wrote: "Did anyone hate the ending to the last book?..I loved it but I am very curious to know why people didn't like it"To be honest, I wasn't too happy with the ending with of the last book. For me, it didn't feel like the author thought too much about it,like it was an easy way out, almost. I don't know. But I really did like the trilogy. Maze Runner would probably be my favourite, though.
@Scott: She isn't a bad director, I think she just sees things differently than others. But I don't think she should direct Maze Runner! @Katrina: I know what you mean, it did seem like a easy way out. But looking at everything they had to endure, I was glad they were finally out. And I liked that it sort of left me wondering where they would go from there.
