I've decided I say "Guys" too much, especially since most people on here are girls, so I am going to try and stop. No offence to Thomas or the other guys/men on here who I am about ninty percent sure actaully are guys.

Oh, I think I will chat a bit here. I've been trying to watch my language as well- one day I was discussing slang with a friend and we got to comparing the sources for much of it- most were different criminal kinds of activity. We decided we'd try to speak more clearly.
There's a 3-d version coming out? Is 3-D here to stay this time, do you think, or is it just a new spin on an old gimmick and it's just fun while it lasts?

I will probably not be online due to power outages that are predicted (hurricane Sandy) its hitting the east coast (NJ, NYC Battery Park evacuated, CT). Last year hurricane Irene was pretty bad, no power or water for 7 days. They say that this one will be as bad as one 70 years ago, major flooding.

Hey Tabi and Tessa, thought I would let you know I just saw the Avengers for the first time yesterday. It was incredible and I now understand everything you have been talking about. I envy you for getting to see it in theaters.

It is! I am have to say very well made and with only a little cheesy-ness, but it was cheesy in a good way, loved it. My favorite charter was Hawk-eye, I hope they make a movie just about him, I had never heard of him before, was he in some other movie that I missed?

No....but he's my favorite character as well!!!!! XD Jeremy Renner (the actor that played him) is one of my favorite actors as well XD

I have only just discovered Jeremy Renner, I saw him in MI 4, and I know he plays the new Bourne, Aaron Cross or something like that, but I have yet to see him in it or anything else. But I will admit I have a crush on him at the moment. He is so hot.

Hahaha. Just got a movie the yesterday that I know absolutely nothing about solely because he was the main charter. It's called "The Hurt Locker" and I am going to watch it tonight or tomorrow, not sure which because I also got "Sherlock Holmes 2" and am also super excited about that.

Jeremy Renner is also in "The Town" some kind of heist movie that looks good.

Hello everyone, hope you all had a happy Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. What was the best gift you got and the best one you gave?

The best gift I gave would have to be a civil war chess set to my younger brother. We played a good game right away and the south won, as they should have.

The best gift I got.....it is so hard to decided. Probably an amazing set of socks from my aunt or rifle mags from my dad.

Our material Christmas was thinner this year- some books and movies. But we stepped beyond our own comfort and actually reached out to others, and have been doing some kind act or other every week to make an active contribution to the good in the world. Having said that, I was really happy to get a couple seasons of Stargate SG-1. I'm seeing some episodes I've never seen before.
As for the new year, gosh, it's fraught with anxiety already! But this passing year has been some improvement over the year before that, so I am just pressing forward and trying to be active and not passive, hopeful and not despairing. Last summer we started a side garden for flowers and herbs, so I am anxiously organizing my seeds I have so far and perusing the garden catalogs (God bless the garden catalog in winter!) with a fresh hope for spring blooms.

An herb garden? Oh I love those. I have a small one myself with basil, Rosemary, comfrey and oregano growing in it, but mostly it has been run over by strawberry plants. I love getting the fresh herb to cook with.

Sorry about my absence the last week. I took a vacation with my family to Las Vegas and we had a great time. Something really huge happened to me while I was there, I went on my first roller-coaster! I was so excited and very proud of myself I decided to write it up in story form. The editing went really well, actually; they didn't change much at all, which was awesome for me because it meant I probably did something right, haha! But I'm glad you guys want to read it; I'm going to need some reviews. There's finally a release date, too: Feb 14th!!! It's SO close, it's crazy.
