"You bit him?" Her father said.
"He called me a wannabe vampire. What was I supposed to do?"
"Oh, I don't know--maybe not bite him?”

Melissa | 869 comments That's a hard one! Is that from Narnia? It's been so long since I read the books...... Maybe the magician's nephew?

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

The Magician's Nephew is correct! Your turn! Good memory - I didn't think anyone would get that.

message 69: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 869 comments Yeah, it took me awhile to place that one. I knew I'd heard it somewhere before. Here's the next one:

“I do hope you’re using that thing to look at photographs of Moulin Rouge ladies as a young man your age should, and not hunting down another bothersome criminal.”

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

Sounds like it would be from Sherlock or something, but I don't know.

Have a try @ taking a guess about any of the following:

1.) “I've survived beach bunny cheerleaders, a sluthunting , ex-boyfriend, and five years of cross-country camp. I'm not afraid of some throwback to ancient myth with astrocious highlights and a Barbra Streisand nose.”

2.) “You smell so good. They should bottle you up and sell you. Make millions.”

3.) "You can see it, right? Like right now, you can see it?"
"Yes. It hasn't faded." _________ leaned forward, catching my hand. "Stop shaking it like it's a damn Etch-A-Sketch. That doesn't make them disappear.”

4.) “If wishes were fishes, even beggars would eat”

5.) “No problem. First one's free.”

6.) “Fine!" he relented, giving her a dirty look. "But only if you stay in front."
She rolled her eyes. "My, what chivalry."
"To hell with chivalry. Your idea, you die first.”

7.) “It was a terrible time to realize you were falling in love with someone - when you were kissing another bloke."

8.) “His voice is deep and gravelly. I once heard one of the girls say that he had the voice of a sex god, but because I've never really heard what a sex god sounds like, I can't verify that.”

2.) 'Romance wasn't fair. Nor was it a game. It was war. And, as on any other battlefield, compassion and mercy had no place there.'
