I think her parents might have been divorced and she lived with her dad who wasn't around a lot, I know she quits the team at some point. In the end the guy breaks up with her to be with someone who was also persian but I remember something about them sleeping together on some fancy rug. I also think it takes place somewhere near water/beaches. Any ideas? Thanks :)
