Bohdan | 2 comments I have a question about page numbering in "Stealing Light" by Gary Gibson (hardcover edition)

ISBN13: 9780230700406

Looks like there are two different edition with the same isbn and different number of pages:

441 pages: http://www.amazon.com/Stealing-Light-...
"Hardcover: 441 pages"
"Publisher: Trans-Atlantic Publications, Inc. (April 30, 2008)"

388 pages: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stealing-Ligh...
"Hardcover: 388 pages"
"Publisher: Tor (5 Oct 2007)"

I own 441 pages hardcover edition by Tor Books (with only isbn13)

in changelog I see:

ingram updated the book Stealing Light by Gary Gibson
num_pages: '441' to '388' (undo)
Feb 07, 2012 09:00pm (#24345368)

I am a fresh librarian and I am not sure what should I do:
- change/undo 388 to 441?
- add another edition with the same isbn but different number of pages
- some other option?

May I ask for advice?

vicki_girl | 2764 comments Amazon frequently has incorrect data. The page counts from the publishers (which are sent to Amazon and to ingram), are often just approximations.

Worldcat agrees with what you have:

I would change the data to match the book you have in hand. We can always add another edition later if someone has an actual copy of a book with that ISBN, but different data.
