The Square
Felicity walked through the pavilion, dodging edgy tourists and crazy locals, all walking on foot. The sounds of the city comforted her, and the lights from Macy's led a good spot-light in the twilight. It was growing too cold for the tourists, as they all walked to the nearest hotels to catch a cab; but not for her. She loved the dark, cold, foggy nights the most. Especially here. She found a good spot on the grass and laid down
After a while of just sitting there, thinking to herself, she got up and left.
Promise walked from his house to Union, looked quite dapper. He had showered and styled his hair, put on cologne, worn his new outfit that he had gotten from Urban Outfitters, and had a smile on his face. He practically pranced to the middle of the square, adjusting his cardigan along the way.
Jamie had spiked his hair and his glasses were cleaned, so they shined when the sun hit them. His bright brown eyes twinkled. He always seemed to be a bit overdressed, but he didn't care. He wore dark jeans, his hightops, and his favorite black jacket and a light pink shirt. He had his hands tucked in his pockets as he looked for Promise.
Promise prepped himself to act natural. this isn't a date. He doesn't know that you like guys at all, really! You're safe! he told himself, as he looked for Jamie. He saw the top of his head and felt his heart flutter.
Jamie kept looking, but kept missing where Promise was. That was one annoying thing about him, he could NEVER see what was right in front of him. I can't screw up.... I don't have any friends anymore...Everyone hates me... but I can't help it... It's not my fault I'm gay! he ranted in his head. It's what he had done all the way there.
Promise stepepd forward, seeing how lost Jamie looked. He pushed past a person adn ducked under someone who was taking a picture, and mozied on up to Jamie. "Hey, stranger. You looknig for anyone?"
Jamie jumped and stiffled a small squeal. Jamie turned around with wide brown eyes. "Wha-?! PROMISE! You little pesk!" he said with a hint of enthusiasm.
Promise grinned and shrugged. "that's what they always say;It should be my occupation." He came close to him, and on impulse, hugged him.
He blushed brightly as he felt Promise's arms pull him into a hug. Jamie returned his hug greatfully and calmed down quickly. He pulled away after a minute or two. "You scared the living day lights out of me!" he whined playfully.
He smiled. "that, my friend, was my intention." He leaned back and stretched, exposing a little bit of his skinny stomach from his shirt. "So...Like, you look really...nice today..."
His blush held true as Promise complimented him. "Thanks, you do too," he replied with a pretty smile.
Promise nearly melted, but he tried to keep his cool. "So..Uhm...Wanna like, do something? Or would you rather grab something to eat, maybe?"
"I'm open to whatever you want, man." He said, shrugging.
Promise nodded and started walking with him, getting out of the square and onto Union Street, walknig down with him. He wanted to reach out and hold his hand, but knew Jamie wouldn't like that. "So, um. Talking...What should we like, talk about?"
Jamie shrugged lightly," I don't really know. I'll think of something ina moment... I'm usually okay at that... when I'm ... hyper..."
promise laughed, imagining Jamie all over the place. It made him like him even more. "Okay, I'll just wait...impatiently..."
"not at ALL! One thing you should know about me, Jamie, is that I am incredibly impatient. I can'y wait for anything!" Total lie. He was the most patient person he knew he said it in a teasing matter, so he hoped he got that.
Jamie started to giggle. "The impatient boy of two thousand and twelve, eh?" he asked, poking his side.
"Yep!" He said, winking. He loved how...flirty they were together. "No, seriously. I'm a really...mellow guy. Peaceful, i'd say. I jsut kind of go with the flow. My lifestyle doesn't really allow me to do anything but that, really." he smiled and looked around, people watching out of the corner of his eye.
Jamie blushed lightly, letting his giggles slip. "Really? I wouldn't really know! I don't have much of a life I guess. I'm studying to be a lawyer after all!"
Promise looked at him, eyes widening. "Lawyer?" He doesn't look like he'd been into that stuff... He thought, smiling. "Where do you go to school, then?"
He blushed,"I know it seems like I'm a wild and crazy, silent boy who can't see anything that's literally right in front of him.." He grinned,"But I'm smart. I go to Stanford."
"So, you commute, too!" He looked so excited. "STANFORD?!?! I wish I was THAT smart!"
Promise stopped walknig and seized him by the shoulders, shaking him gently. "I...I underestimated you, dear Jamie! You must be like, a genius!" He thought about his own school, which for his profession choice, was a hard school to get into.
Jamie went silent for a little bit and looked at his scuffed up shoes. "I do seem stupid, don't I?" he asked in a whisper.
"NO!" He said. That was NOT how he meant it. "No, no you are not! I swear to you, I didn't mean it that way. I'm...I'm sorry..." He let go of him and stepped back. So much for making him like you. Way to go, asshole. He said to himself. "You act and look incredibly smart. I...I should've worded that better."
JAmie gave him a hug and quickly changed the subject... Well, just a little bit. "What about yourself ? What are you studying for?"
The hug left him dizzy. He started walking again. "Psychology...At UC Santa Cruz...I know, not a very manly profession. I've gotten good at saying 'And how does that make you feel?'" He said, winking.
JAmie picked up his pace a little to catch up to him. "I used to have friend who majored in that!" he said with a wide smile. "That's impressive though, too get in a school like that for such a great major!"
"It's not like stufying law at Stanford..." he muttered. He hated his choice in occupation, even though it made him happy. "I have one year elft, then i'll most likely come to UCSF to get my graduate and become a psychiatrist...But, who knows? I might want to stop after this..."
Jamie blushed,"It's a lovely major! I think you should continue it. If it makes you happier, I'll admit that I used to fantasize being a psychiatrist!"
He imagined how it would be to be Jamie's psychiatrist. I probably could not concentrate... He shrugged and smiled. "Eh. It's not all that glamourous. I love helping people and all, but...i'm gonna need my own therapist after all the stuff I hear everyday, you know?"
((ooooooooo I took that dirtily XD the first two sentences!))
Jamie giggled softly. "I could pretend to be your psychiatrist! Or you could get close enough to me that you cn come to me with whatever!" he claimed.
Jamie giggled softly. "I could pretend to be your psychiatrist! Or you could get close enough to me that you cn come to me with whatever!" he claimed.
((That's what I thought!))
"I intend to do just that! You're a real nice guy, Jamie, and I really...want to be your friend. I don't have a big social life myself, but...with you, I want that...Like, I want you as my best friend...Is that, like, weird?"

((What?! that I would take it that way?! or you interpreted it that way too?!))
He smiled brightly,"I would love that!!!!!!! I don't have anyone to talk to!!!!"
He smiled brightly,"I would love that!!!!!!! I don't have anyone to talk to!!!!"
((I meant it to be dirty! LOL!))
Promise smiled. He looked down to his wrist and checked the time. "Uh, i'm like, starving. I didn't have anything for breakfast. Wanna go get something with me?"

((XD YAY FOR DIRTINESS!!!!!!))"Yes! YEs please!" he replied eagerly. His brown eyes started to have that puppy dog effect.
"Okay, great!" He looked at his eyes and felt a blush creeping up. "Follow me, I know this really cute place."
((transport to casual restaurant?))
((transport to casual restaurant?))
Leik walked around with a small grin on his face. He didn't have much of anywhere to go, much less anything to do.
