Oh please, not another one. Sometimes, ending it while its still good, is good enough. Sequel might just spoil the whole pot of broth.

A prequel would be my vote!
There should be a book about 1st Quarter Quell. The one where each district had to CHOOSE which children will be tributes at the game. Now that would be an amazing story. The selection, the games and the victors
The idea of a 4th book doesn't really appeal to me, but if the author decides to do one, I suppose I like the prequel ideas that were mentioned.

OMG OMG! That would be perfect. I'd love a prequel but hearing about Haymitch and Katniss' mother would bore me because I know exactly what happens. That on the other hand would be AMAZING. It would be cool if it was from the POV of the tribute of a different district though. We've learnt enough about district 12.

Love the idea of exploring Haymitch before we got to know him.... I think another entire book could be written about his games and how his life changed as a result.

I like the idea for prequels. Like short stories for Haymitch, Johanna, and Finnick giving us a recollection of what their experiences and memories of being in the hunger games was like and a glimpse of victor life before the 74th games, before everything changed.
Well if your going to make a forth book try not making it completely miserable at the end.

Well, as the first trilogy was completely from the point of view of Katniss, we can only take her word for everything that happened. So maybe a fourth book could be the events of the first three, but this time from the point of view of Snow instead. He could be the hero trying to build a utopian society, but who keeps getting thwarted by the young troublemaker from District 12!
(This is a joke by the way, it's pretty clear that Snow isn't exactly the good guy in these books...!)

I agree with the idea of a prequel. Possibly something about Haymitch's arena or maybe even something about the first rebellion and how the games came to be. A continuation would be too risky. With the way Mockingjay ended there isn't much room for a 4th. That being said I read a lot of fanfiction and I have read one that had a very inspiring idea for a continuation. It further explores the idea of being hijacked. The premise is that Squad 451 was abducted the moment Peeta was added to the group. The Capitol was able to find them because Distrcit 13 never removed Peeta’s tracker. As a result Katniss ends up hijacked inside the Capital. The end of Mockingjay is what the Capitol has forced her to believe.

Do a second Quarter Quell book, or a book about the first hunger games, she could write companion books about the other characters like Haymitch, or Finnick! The original trilogy should stay just that!
Maybe a story on how everything started... I mean if the fourth book is something about peeta and katniss it would make too much of "a capitol" thing. We fell in love with katniss behavior and peeta's courage so i think i'ts for the best too keep the saga in a "brave" spirit. And showing how the capitol was made how the hunger games were aproved would be the best !
I just want more *.* It is ended perfectly, but maybe written from Snow's perspective when he came to power. He could've been good at first. Or Finnick in his first games. Or someone from outside of Panem. Just... MOREEE

It can be shown that District 13 people took over, made capitol the 14th district and are conducting hunger games again for district 1-12 and 14. Katniss' kid gots reaped and now its his turn to play the hunget games.
According to me, a prequel would be the best. It can depict the story of Haymitch and Madge's aunt. It would be great! I already smell some romance and action.Or it can tell the story about President Snow and Coin, it feels like the were friends before and then turned into sworn enemies. I would be happy with anything, even just a single page telling us more about Katniss and Peeta. the world seems incomplete without them.
