Corvus shook his head. No way. You were only sitting here with me.
"He probably just saw a pretty girl and decided it would be a great idea to pounce on her."
"Thought he could take him, Corvus does look a little on the wiry side." She reasoned. "Plus the ass was drunk."
"Hey," she pointed a thumb over her shoulder. "I've got a jewelry box back there. Wanna take a look?"
"Or Corvus here can go pick it out."
I guess I'll choose which ring, but I want you to come with me.
"Let's go find a ring." Calla turned, slinging the gun over her shoulder as they followed behind her. She took them through a hallway and a door, which opened into a small living space. On the coffee table sat a glossy looking wooden box and she plopped down on the couch in front of it. She flipped it open with one hand, revealing a variety of jewelry.
"It really adds up over the years, I never get to wear most of it though." Calla laid the gun down on the table and sat back, giving him the 'go ahead' gesture.
Corvus sat down next to her and sifted through the pile, starting his search for a ring.
Corvus sat down next to her and sifted through the pile, starting his search for a ring.
"Some of it was passed down, most I bought, and women have left a little in here." She asked as Corvus pulled out a ring. It was banded with a pale gold crafted to look like a flower stem, with a metallic rose in the middle with a white stone.
Her jaw dropped and she automatically reached for it, the stone at her neck softly throbbing so Arrika touched her fingers to her pendant. "Is that a moonstone?"
"Looks like." Corvus took her right hand and put the ring smoothly onto her ring finger.
She giggled softly when it was stopped by her second knuckle. >>Left hand, Cor.<< Arrika told him.
>>Sorry.<< Corvus smiled and took it back off, switching hands.
Corvus lifted her hand and kissed her fingers. Calla tapped his shoulder and held up a plain silver ring, then handed it over to Arrika. "That'll be for him."
She smiled. "So the ladies will leave my man alone. Thank you." Arrika took it, sliding it onto his finger.

He clasped her hand and squeezed it. >>It fits.<<
>>If they do I'll find you another one.<< He gave a smile towards Calla. Thank you. She waved him off. "It was my pleasure to help."
>>Yeah.<< He stood and took her out of the room, all the way back to the bar.
Arrika looked around the bar, stepping closer to Corvus when they reached the main area where all of the other male patrons were.
Corvus led her to the open space in front of the stage area, where the band still played. He turned and laid his hands on her hips.
He started moving with the music, taking her with him.
>>This is nice.<< Corvus smiled back at her, eyes sparkling.
>>We should keep this as a habit.<<
He slowly their movements and turned his head.
Corvus shook his head, holding up his and Arrika's ringed hands in answer.
"Please? I want to talk with the Priestess."
Arrika became starry-eyed. >>He called me priestess.<<
Arrika became starry-eyed. >>He called me priestess.<<
>>He may be the tutor.<< Corvus turned so she and him faced the boy, still holding her hand.
>>Let's get a booth for this.<< Corvus nodded at him and led them through the crowd to an open table against the wall.
Arrika sank into the chair, laying her head on Corvus's shoulder.
"Who is he?"
"This is my fiance."
