Creative Visualization question

I am reading this and I think there are some powerful yet simple techniques for creating our own reality. What have you learned from it, I am curious?

I've learned that Visualization works. If you know exactly what you want, it then appears and you easily grab it. The most tangible and astonishing manifestation of this took place when I decided to buy an enormous wall shelf/entertainment center. I went to some shops, cut out some pictures and decided. I then made a plan with a friend to rent a van and go get the thing, when two days before we planned to go buy it, a neighbor moved out and couldn't dismantle a very similar thing to what i wanted and left it exactly in front of my door - up for grabs. Magic!
