"i wish i had your confidence around hu-er people" she said, ducking her head shyly as she walked in
"yeah i suppose thats true" she said, following him to his seat. a boy wolf-whistled at her, making her wince. "hey pretty thing, why dont you sit over here with me?" the boy said, reaching over to grab her.
"ah! dude let go!" the boy said "you dont own her!" the teacher turned around and snapped "Stop that right now or i will report you to the principal! both of you! Mizore, you can come sit by my desk, maybe that will stop the boys from bickering" the class laughed and she walked up to the front of the class, her hair over her face. she sat down and looked over at Chris.
Mizore stared blankly at the board as the teacher went over math formulas. she didnt realize the teacher saw this until he said. "Mizore, why dont you show us what you've learned and solve this problem?" he handed her a marker and she looked at the problem.
"quiet boy" the teacher said "i want to see how capable she is"
As Mizore stared at the problem, it suddenly made sense. it was the kind of thing she used mentally when she was hunting with her pack. she uncapped the marker and quickly and easily solved it. The teacher gaped at her, that had been one of the hardest problems that he could find in the text, and she had solved it in less than a minute.

feeling eyes on her, she blushed darkly and sat down, hiding her face with her hair. "do you think you could do another one?" the teacher asked "i want to show someone how well you did." she nodded and he erased the old equation and put up a new one, then raced out to fetch another teacher for a higher grade. they stood by the door and watched as Mizore solved that problem as well.

Mizore stood staring at them innocently as they spoke to her.
Mizore walked back into the classroom, followed by the math teacher. she collected her things, glancing over at him more than once as she did.
"Alright Mizore, come with me." the teacher said, and led her out of the classroom.

"You almost scared the wolf out of me" she whispered.
Mizore was surprised and hugged him back, then asked "So, want to tell me what the line is for? It doesnt look like we will be hunting for our food."
"school lunch..." she said to herself "I think maybe i should bring my own. I doubt they have anything that matches my.....diet." she told him, remembering that other students were near.
"Yeah...but for today, i will choke down whatever it is they are serving." she said
Mizore walked through the line and got the tray of food, trying hard not to look at it with disgust

Mizore picked at the food on her plate, trying to find something that she could choke down. She ignored the cooked meat since she knew it would make her sick and focused on the vegetables.
"cant believe you hu-er people eat this stuff." she whispered to him.

Mizore was about to walk out of the school building when some boys cornered her against a wall. "Hey there, beautiful. We've seen you hanging around with that weird boy Chris. Why not hang out with us? Any one of us would be a much better match for you."
Before Mizore or Chris could move, the boy had pinned her arms against the wall and kissed her roughly.
The other boys blocked Chris from getting to them and said "not so fast. We're not letting you ruin Johns chances with the new girl."
Mizore struggled against the boy, her eyes flashing with anger. But her strength was weaker as a human, and he was stronger than her.

Frightened by his freakish strength, the other two fled, leaving John groping Mizore, who was struggling, tears streaming down her eyes in frustration.

She leaned against him, seeking comfort in his arms like she did with her Alpha.

"I do, its kind of a Wolf thing. Technically speaking, I should take you to my Alpha and tell him you helped me."
She got up and wiped her face, then said "Well, come on then."
Mizore sighed and said "I dont know if he'll let me come back to school without 'bodyguards' after this though." she led him towards the woods.
She led him into the woods, following an old deer trail to where her pack lived.
"Not much farther now." she said.
She paused and looked around. "James, Alec, I know your there, come out of hiding." she said. Two large wolves came out from behind the trees and nuzzled her, barking affectionately.
Both of the large wolves eyed Chris coldly, moving so they were in front of Mizore. "easy guys, he's my friend, plus he helped me in the school." she said quickly.
The two wolves relaxed a little. Mizore nudged one of them and said "James, go tell Alpha that I have someone here to meet him."
James nodded and bounded off. A few moments later, James came back, followed by a larger and stronger wolf.

Mizore moved in front of him and her face blanked as she went over what happened in her mind. he relaxed and thought to Chris >It seems I should thank you for helping a member of my Pack, human boy.
