Kayla (kaylawrites89) I read this book at the beginning of last year. I devoured it in the matter of a few days and loved it. It's a big book, yes, but it is so wonderfully written that it sucks you in from page one and keeps you hooked through the entire story.

I thought Katsa was an incredible Heroine and is one of my favorite characters from a novel.

Let me know what you guys thought of this book. I want to hear everyone's opinion whether it's good or bad, it doesn't matter. :)

Becky (bek11) I just finished this last night. It was a really good book and I thought Katsa & Po were wonderful characters. It reads very quickly even though I didn't feel like there was any great danger until the last third of the book.
The growing relationship between Po & Katsa was very enjoyable though a little older than what a 12 or 13-yr-old should read (at least, that's what I think). I'm a sucker for happily ever after and while this book kind of had that, I still was hoping that Katsa would marry Po. (Though I cannot see Katsa having any children. She did all right with Bitterblue, but with an infant.....) I guess I'm a traditionalist.

All in all, a great book. The idea of Graces was interesting and Leck was a very formidable villain. I may have to make some room on by TBR list for Bitterblue when it comes out.

Jamie (pymama) | 8 comments I love Kristin Cashore. I have read all her books and am currently waiting for Bitterblue to come out. I love how her female characters are very independent and strong. I will agree. I am the romantic kind and enjoy the happily every after where the get married and have kids but it is nice to have a different twist on things every now and again.
