I have a new release coming out soon, and I'm looking to give away a few advance review copies (ebook copies, that is). It's a short historical mystery, approximately 15,700 words— here's the synopsis:The Silver Shawl: A Mrs. Meade Mystery
In a small town in turn-of-the-century Colorado, a young woman has disappeared from the boarding-house where she lives. Her distraught fiancé is certain that she must have been kidnapped. But the case takes a new turn when a city detective appears on the scene, looking for a woman who matches the description of the missing girl. Was Charity really kidnapped, or did she have a reason to flee? Mrs. Meade, a gentle but shrewd widow lady who lives across the hall in the boarding-house, feels that there is something wrong with the story of Charity’s disappearance…but can she unravel the mystery before it is too late?
If it sounds like something you'd enjoy, send me a private message or email me at secondsentence[at]gmail[dot]com. I would really love to have some blog reviews scheduled for the week of the release—which isn't definite yet, but will probably be sometime in mid to late September—so if you have a book blog that's even better!
I am looking for reviewers for my new women's fiction / fantasy (magic realism) book Love of Shadows. I have a number of ARC copies available. Please message me for a copy.Blurb
I had always felt most alive, when I was healing. Without healing I was a tin top spinning out of kilter soon to catch the ground. It took all my energy to hold myself from skidding into chaos.
In the city of Pharsis traditional women healers are banned from practising and the penalty for breaking the law is death by hanging. After being arrested and interrogated by the Chief of Police Judith is careful to avoid suspicion, but then scarlet fever breaks over the city like a poisonous wave, leaving in its wake the small corpses of children. What will the young healer do?
Love of Shadows is the second novel in the Shadows Trilogy, which began with Girl in The Glass, and follows the lives of Judith and her Shadow, Sarah.
I do have a longish story (around 7,000 words), a mystery titled "Notes in the Margin" which is free through Tuesday. Any reviews appreciated.http://www.amazon.com/Notes-in-the-Ma...
Thanks much and enjoy!

My science/fantasy novella, Epic Fantasy 0.9b is free for a limited time in the hope of generating more online reviews. Here is a synopsis:
The Decay is coming, and Ian, a fifteen-year-old from the Northwestern Forests of the Region, must flee his home village or be melted into noxious brown goo. With the help of an eccentric mage and an annoyingly cheerful orphan, he escapes to the Capital, fending off quadrupedal orcs, superintelligent vultures, and some of the Region’s less desirable human residents. But when he encounters a mysterious stranger who reveals that the Region may not be what it appears, he must decide whether to stay faithful to his friends, or abandon them and seek the truth.
Not your typical fantasy or science fiction book, EPIC FANTASY 0.9b is a genre-bending trip through a strange and surprising realm, blending action, adventure, drama and humor into a fast-paced, unforgettable story.
A novella of 35,000 words. Includes world map.

I'm looking to give away free copies of my ebook, The Lady of Chains and Other Stories in return for some honest reviews. Amazon Synopsis:
http://www.amazon.com/Lady-Chains-Oth...
“Remember; you have seventy-two hours to do the deed and not a moment longer. Cut her throat and remove her heart. That, my girl, is the only way to destroy the wretched creature.”
Greylock. A city supported by a network of scaffolding, bleeding rust and wheezing steam. Patrolled by an army of ‘metal men’—creatures who’re designed for nothing more than to kill and destroy. Nothing grows. Nothing truly lives.
The tower stands like an ice-pick, pushing through a snarl of thorns, resting upon the outskirts of Greylock. Its shadow is cast across the city like an elongated clock-hand, chipping away the hours, the days. The years. It is home to the Lady of Chains, a woman incarcerated without a sentence. A woman who almost single-handedly destroyed the world . . .
Viola, a young orphan girl, has been thrust into this nightmarish world by the devious Mrs Casket, caretaker of the tower and maid to the mysterious lady. She’s been given a task which could either see her demise or be her salvation.
But who is the Lady of Chains? And why does she insist that she is connected to Viola? With the clock ticking and the metal men drawing near, Viola is about to learn that not everything is what it seems . . .
A spellbinding fantasy with elements of steampunk.

The Blog of Maisy Malone is free to download todayhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Blog-Mais...
My name is Maisy Malone. I’m seventeen years old, live in a ratty council house with my 60 year old, near-alcoholic Dad and a dog with a leaky bum.
This is my blog. You can either like it, or you can…well… blog off!! ;o)
Maisy is seventeen and has reason to be seriously fed up. Her Dad spends his days stagnating in his armchair, watching re-runs of Bargain Hunt, shouting abuse at their neurotic dog, Dave, or nursing his pint down at the Pride. Her mum fled the place years ago, on the back of a clapped-out, old bike, and is now planning the wedding of the year, to a man so damp you could grow mushrooms on him. Even her mates are distracted these days; Poppy is to be found rattling out her vampire love story and Jess is too busy obsessing over the latest bad boy to cross her path. Trouble is, her latest conquest is Maisy’s detested older brother, Ollie – recently returned to the family home. But what secret is he hiding?
And now Maisy has dropped out of sixth form in an attempt to bring some money into the family home. But will a range of eye-opening, temporary assignments provide Maisy the freedom she is searching for?
Or is home always where the heart is?

An ARC(Advance Review Copy) can simply be a pdf version of your story. Or a mobi. version once you have formatted it. Once you find a reviewer just email them whatever format you have.
If you have already published using amazon KDP there is a button on the "bookshelf" page. It allows you to manage free dates. You have 5 free dates in a 90 day period. You can use all at once or space them out over the 3 months.
hope this helps.

Always looking for reviewers :-DI'm giving away my book again,
The Valentine's Day Clue, on goodreads from 1st Feb to 28th Feb, 2013. This is the first book in a teen detective thriller series.Look at what a few readers have to say about it:
"The author has created few characters that are so true to life. The protagonists – the brothers are young and lively. Their aspirations and enthusiasm reminded me of myself at that age (it wasn’t too long ago) very much and that’s what is the USP of this book. Whenever we read a mystery, the protagonist always seems so larger than life either with their detection skills or with their action scenes. I mean if we really had a Poirot, a Sherlock Holmes or a Jack Reacher, then there would be fewer criminals roaming around free. Nayak brothers are not larger than life – in fact they are just amateurs often stumbling on their way. It is their optimistic and ‘never give up’ attitude that makes them so likeable. They grow through their experiences. The plot, in general, is a simple one for hardcore mystery lovers like me, but it was one that an amateur pair could handle." -- Debdatta Dasgupta Sahay
"It takes you to your college days when you dream to pursue your passion as a profession. Here, it’s a story of two young brothers and budding detectives who go through a series of dangerous yet thrilling events while working on their first case ever." -- Sandeep Undale
- A collection of psychedelic poetry.
- A youth's diagnosing of humanity, the collective and the individual.
- Milk & Honey Siren is an anthology of poetry and short fiction geared towards converting the members of the youth generation who label poetry as "whiny and annoying" into poetry lovers. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but many of their stereotypes are based off a pre-read bias.

Hi,I have published a work of literary fiction called, "Let the Willows Weep."
Synopsis below:
Where is the line between destruction and redemption? What happens when one doesn’t know—do they fall or do they find their way?
When the tenuous ties of her family break, Birddog Harlin is forced to choose a path which leads her away from those she loves, threatening to completely destroy her before she ultimately seeks her salvation.
Birddog is a willful and bitter woman whose husband, after years of suffering her emotional abuse, leaves suddenly one morning. She is left with her precocious and introverted young daughter who is devastated and angry, further deteriorating their already strained relationship. But during a seemingly insignificant moment with her daughter, Birddog privately recollects her own adolescence and the tragic events which drove her to make the choices that threaten to destroy not only her own life but also that of her daughter. Memories of loss, love, and unbearable hurt flood her mind. But as each moment recedes once more, Birddog realizes that although life is partially fated, it is her own choices that determine her true destiny.
I can give away a free copy either e-book or hardcopy.
