Who would play Patch in a movie?

I just read that Theo James is up for the part.
Is it kinda weird that I feel no one really fits to portray Patch in a movie? Like yeah the ones mentioned above could be but there is something missing.
All these people are too old I think. I want someone dark and new. Even some of these guys, even though they seem really dark, I just want something even better. Maybe my expectations for Patch are too high, but they keep putting 28 year olds in 17 year old slots and if they had someone who was actually 17, the movie may look more believable. I just don't want them to ruin it so that they never make the other movies. That would just not be right.
I imagine Wade Poezyn though, he'd would absolutely be perfect. Look him up if you don't know who he is.
It's always fun to see someone new; I really don't want to see someone older playing the part.

And I agree, Patch needs to be a young actor, maybe someone new to the film industry. Wade Poezyn is DEFINITELY a great choice for him. Dark, sexy and incredibly appealing.

they are thnking of theo james. I think he might be a good for it if we got used to him but i don't really see him as a bad boy, he seems like those actiony poeple but not bad boy. He got to have the dark hair like Ian somerhalder and the bad looks

I heard that their picking between Theo James and Ian Somerhalder. I think they should pick Ian because you looks more like how I pictured Patch than Theo does.
Who ever it would be would have alot riding to be patch looks and personality would have to b perfect. Patch is one amazing character I love, but i'll have think really hard on who would be the perfect Patch!! :)

Ian may be a little old, but he looks just like I pictured Patch. Patch kind of came off a little emo to me, and I think Ian fits that perfectly. Also I picture Patch with dark hair which Ian has.

theo james from divergent seems nice, but maybe a little bit to old?
If I had to pick I'd defiantly say Wade Poezyn or francisco lachowski, but not Avan Jogia he's just doesn't suit patch and DEFIANTLY not Jamie Campbell HELL NO!!! And I totally think ian somerhalder is away to old!! Though he'd totally rock the character. Ahhhh! Just thought of someone who would be perfect Jonathan Jackson, good! He would totally rock it

Patch reminds me of a Vampire. I love the Vampire Diaries and from my opinion, I think that Ian Somerhalder would be a great fit. Ian plays Damon in TVD but his acting and character fits Patch. Whenever I think of Patch I see Damon and while I read, I imagine what happens so I imagine Ian as Patch. Ian also looks a bit like how they describe Patch. Dark eyes, Black hair, and in TVD he wears dark colours <-- obviously 'cause he's a Vampire in the show but whatever

Yes it is mentioned in the book. But I think she was talking about how old he LOOKS not actually is.
Becca Fitzpaterick originally wanted Steven Straight to play patch, but that was when she first started to write the story. The guy is fit but hes a bit too old now.I think that Steven R McQueen(Jeremy from the vampire diaries) could definitely be a good patch, though with a different hair cut. :)
I think Shilo Fernandez would make a good Patch. He is tan, and he has black hair. All he would need is black contacts.

I think Wade Poezyn would be great as Patch. I typed his name and then Patch into google images and I think he'd be the perfect Patch.
Becca came to my town a few years back for a Q&A and Meet and greet event for Finale. While I was there, I suggested to her Drew Roy and at the time she just said she wasn't thinking of movie plans. I have now met Drew Roy at a convention, and although, he could turn out to be Patch with some work, I am hoping to find someone better in the mean time.
