vicki_girl | 2764 comments You put the ISBN-13 in the ISBN-10 slot and so it gave an incorrect truncated ISBN. I have fixed that. I don't think we normally put in the publisher page in the URL box. It's usually only used for "official" book pages, with book info and extras. I left the current link for now though.

ETA: Example of an official book page link below.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments You can use a publisher's page for a book if it has something that our book record doesn't -- a common example is publisher pages which provide excerpts or (for technical books) extremely detailed tables of contents. If it's just the exact same bibliographic data that's already entered in the GR record, there's no point to linking to it.

In this case, though, it looks like the publisher's website doesn't provide any of this extra information. (Also, the links seem to be search results which are giving me inconsistent results in a browser where I've disallowed cookies; I think the website may not be expecting to serve those URLs as permanent links, so they wouldn't work anyway.)

"When I combined it with the other editions I noticed that other Women of the Bible books were not in series format & since I am so new at this...I was antsy about making a mistake."

It's okay if the title doesn't show the series in the correct format (or doesn't show it at all); eventually all of the series information will be on the series page and none in the title field. If you feel like editing an edition to put the series in the correct format, it's not wrong, but it's not required either.

"I also noticed that two books were combined wrong & again, I was afraid to mess with it."

It looks like those were incorrectly combined, perhaps because the title information was completely replaced by the series information (which is wrong and should be corrected). Do you want to try separating them and then recombining them correctly now? It's okay if you mess up separate/combine on a small scale -- it's easy to redo it and it doesn't lose any data except series links, and you haven't created the series links yet anyway so now is the best time to experiment. :)
