Irene (wingdesilverii) | 2500 comments You mean as in you are a published author and when people read your books you would like them to be able to rate them and create a review?

I'd be interested in setting a folder up too when I get the release date for The Thin Blue Line!

Irene (wingdesilverii) | 2500 comments @Sarah, if you have an author profile here you can up load your own books so people can review them. I am not experienced enough to know what Daniel is referring to as a folder but I know up loading books is simple. If you need help with any of this go to this group : http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/220 and they will be able to help you or send you in the right direction. You don't create a folder like here in the group, I think it is a different sort of folder. I can up load your books as long as I can get the information (I am a librarian)but like I said, I don't have enough experience to make you an author profile.

Okay no problem I have seen the author profile tag as soon as I am officially in print I will change my profile to that of author. I have chapters 12 to 14 of the House of Death - the Atlanta chapters done so far. I think another 2 maybe 3 and I will be moving back to France for a while!

I'll send them as a job lot some time next week maybe!

I am not a published author. It's just one of my hobbies. I thought that creating a folder was so that others could see my writing in the creative writing section.

If you go to my profile page Daniel and scroll down to my writing you will see where to put stuff. Just click on the profile photograph. You use copy and paste to get in up there. Have fun!

But you already know how to do this you have writing on there? You don't need the disclaimer on Goodreads Daniel everything here is protected. Plagerism is a case for banishment your work is quite safe!

Oh, like here. All you need to do is create a thread in the 'your writing ' folder. You can label it 'Daniel's Writting ' or I can create if for you if you like.

Sure, I am reading through what you had sent me and I did make note of the few grammatical errors I spotted (if that's okay) I didn't change them I just put s note on them.

Its a real pain we both speak English and yet we don't! Colour we spell like so realise is with an 's' a tyre is just that tire like so means to tire of something!

Yep, I think I ignored the ones like that that I knew about. Hymonyms (spelling ?) Are a pain too, like you said pare sounds the same as the fruit but they mean two different things.

Feel sorry for me too I'm still in a battle to be perfectly fluent in French much harder to learn than English because they have masculine and feminine words and each has their very own the, they them and things you'd think must be masculine like the word moustache is feminine!

And like we English call stuff we don't know Gismos in French we call them truc! Believe me my use of the word truc is prolific makes up for the big holes in my vocabulary - I try to learn new words each week when I have the time I read my French dictionary so I know a, what the word means and b, how to spell it so if I happen to mix my metaphors at least I know it's correctly spelled!

Firestormkittycat Hey, I'm learning French too! I'm in my second school year of it, so I don't know a ton yet.

Not easy is it - if you need help any time with your homework feel free to ask, check with mom that it's okay first. Moms worry about these things, I would worry about my little one and who she was chatting too, it's a big bad mean world out there. Not everyone is genuine, so if mom says its okay I'll be your French homework helper LOL if I can't help I'll fetch Sophie my daughter she's 10 and speaks only French but understands English.

Firestormkittycat Thanks! So far it's actually been really easy, languages must be something that comes easily to me. But then, past tense and the partitive (de, de la, de l', des) are pretty much the most complicated things we've done this year. And those are easy.

Bonjourno

Apparently now I've mastered (almost) French, Italian should be a doddle for me. Not sure I really need to learn it so for now I'll battle with my French.

Arrividerci Spelling is probably wrong and I don't have an Italian dictionary. So maybe I should have just said ciaou cos I know how to spell that!

If my boyfriend was with me I could get him to check it, he is fluent in Italian.

Its arrivederci I just looked it up which is what I should have done yesterday! I probably know quite a few Italian words if I were to put my mind to it. Most of the words appear to be French with an 'no' on the end and of course there's food that I am fluent in!

Yep, my boyfriend's older sister went to Asia as a forigen exchange student for three years. She was taught how to make classic ethnic dishes and when she came home she would make them (I still liked the sushi the best because I found types that I liked).
