Hi everyone! I'm Ben Guilfoy, and I recently entered the world of self-publishing my writing. I was previously published in a 'Star Trek' anthology of short stories:

That was a blast and a half. I got to travel down to a sci-fi convention in Baltimore, MD and meet a ton of people (and sign autographs!)

This past December I published a collection of short stories:
There are six stories, all sort of 'Twilight Zone'-ish:
'The Watchers' - Astronauts witness a devastating nuclear war, trapped high in orbit aboard a space station.
'Show Me the End of the World' - A young woman uses a time machine to peer deep into the future to witness the end of all things.
'DreamTime' - A husband buys a device that allows him to control his dreams and ends up becoming addicted to nightmares.
'The First Seven Millenia' - An immortal man contemplates the entropy of human civilization, and what it means to be truly alone.
'Beleza and the Android' - A sci-fi retelling of 'Beauty and the Beast' in which a young woman falls for an android with a surprising secret.
'Man's Best FrienD' - A boy who grows up with a sentient robot will do anything to save his best friend.

And just last week I released a standalone short story just for Kindle called 'The Box':

A mysterious artifact is uncovered in the desert. It is metallic, perfectly cubical, covered in strange writing... and older than human civilization. Four strangers are brought to a secret laboratory to unlock its secrets, including a codebreaker, a linguist, and a young prodigy physicist. What is the box? What secrets does it contain within? Finding out will send the team on the greatest adventure of their lives... and could mean the end of everything they know.

So that's what I have to offer right now! I'm currently working on a novel I hope to have done for the end of summer, reading a bunch of good stuff by other indie authors, and really having a blast with everything on Goodreads.

Intriguing: Since offering the free 'Select' promo for 24 hours, the story has sold one or two a day. A minor success for Amazon KDPSelect!
