Hi Jade,I too have become addicted to the Twilight Sagas. I have seen the movie 4 times and read all the books in the series (the first book twice).
The movie, like fine wine, gets better with each viewing.
I also love the soundtrack...it is my new "happy place" music :]
My movie review of "Twilight" was recently picke-up by a local online newspaper...

wow lol thats funny seth.i have seen the movie and didnt like it too much
i have read Twilight 16 times. new moon twice. eclipse 14 times. breaking dawn twice. i only got through it twice before i lent it to many many people and i havent seen it since the begining of september :( *sniff sniff*
I've read them all (except New Moon ... I always skip around in that book) SO many more times than I can count. I LOVE them! They're AMAZING!!!I ♥ Twilight Saga!!!!
never read them, and i kinda (I know i am gonna get slaughtered for saying this) i kinda think the premise is stupid.....or lets just say an unatractive book for me
i have twilight on hold at the library.oh.. good. the waiting list got updated!
one down, twenty-four to go...
no kidding
when i tried to get them at the library i would have to wait for like 365 daysi first read them in february i think. it took one week total
Do read Midnight Sun...the partial first draft is available on Meyer's web site.http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnigh...
Caution...the PDF file can only be read online...but it is a great read.
It is the story of "Twilight" from Edward's viewpoint.
And no waiting at the library for it :]
Yippers, I agree with you totally jade. I actually like it better than Twilight. I am glad that she finally agreed to finish the story.
I love the Twlight series too much to explain lol I seen the movie 8 times and I still love it. It gives a great GENERAL idea of Twilight. I've read the books so many times as well. I'm incredibly OBSESSED!
I am writing an article on the obsession phenomenon surrounding Twilight. As one of the addicted, I find the phenomenon fascinating.
Dee, I didn't know that Stephenie Meyer decided to finish Midnight Sun!!!!!!! Omigosh!!!!! I am SO excited!!! One thing about the partial draft on Midnight Sun though is that you could tell that it was a rough draft. lol!!! I can't believe it!!!Madeline: where the heck have i been???
Hey Jade,Yippers, I have it from a "reliable source" that she is indeed going to finish Midnight Sun ;]
i loved it! but my mom and a couple other family members did not and now i just ignore them when they talk about Breaking Dawn lol
I read the entire series...and i absolutely hated it. I thought that Stephenie Meyers writing was repetitive, dull and lifeless. The first book was okay, but after Edward and Bella meet, nothing of consequence happens for the next like 200 pages. New moon, i liked because it had a lot less Edward in it (I'll explain later) but honestly the book had no plot. And if it did it was the same as all of the other books. Evil vampire wants to kill Bella, Edward saves her. In Eclipse i absolutely wanted to kill Bella. The whole time she was being a whiny annoying trouble making waste of space!
The best review i could give Breaking Dawn is.....'Worst book i've ever read.' And i have read a lot of books. (They arent all on my goodreads cuz im lazzy)
The book had no clear point to it, when you think back on it you spend pretty much the entire book in the Cullen's living room! It was really weird and slightly pedophile-ish when Jacob imprinted on Renesme. That kinda creeped me out.
And then you spend like 200 pages of nail biting tense prep for this big fight, that never happens!I thought the books were horrible. Aside from my dislike for SM's writing style (or lack of one) I found myself Loathing her characters.
Bella Swan:
Bella comes off (to me) as a whiny ungrateful suicidal masochist who throws her life away at 17 over a boy. Gets married at 18, sells her soul and gets pregnant. I think that she is a horrible role model, and to jam packed full of stereotypes and cliches to have any redeeming qualities.
Edward Cullen:
Stephenie Meyer, we get it Edward is attractive, theres no need to remind us every four paragraphs. I think tha Edward is way too over protective! Having Alice kidnap Bella? I mean thats just too far. Also hes so perfect he almost has no personality. Hes just a rigid 107 year old vampire who falls in love with a girl who just walked out of a book called "Top 100 female stereotypes"
Wow i typed a lot....its 4:57 and im a bit delirious, but i just felt like saying tha.
byezz
Wow i just read all the other posts...Im the only one who didnt love it.... *sheen of sweat appears in forehead* Oh well. I suppose i should tell you guys that I did love them a few months ago. I read Twilight 18 times (Read it for the first time in December last year) New moon 16 times, Eclipse 15 times and Breaking Dawn 1 and a half. Why i changed my mind? Well i like to say i had an epiphany.
Hey Chandani,You made some excellent points :]
It is good to hear both sides! {hands you a clean, dry towel to wipe your brow} Perhaps a case of Twilight burnout along with your epiphany {one of my all-time favorite words by the way}.
I enjoyed the first book, for the love story. Let's face it...the first book “is” a Romance Novel. I think that is its universal appeal to woman of all ages.
I also liked the fact that it was a "quick and easy" read. You didn't have to think, just enjoy. It is important to "just enjoy" sometimes :]
As to Meyer's writing style...yes, it is filled with redundancies. At the same time, her writing is so innocent and pure, it is a fun place to visit and revisit when you just want a mental-break!
*Takes towel and abs forehead* Thanks dee. The books were fun at the time, and i suppose me hating the books has to do with the whole craze about them. After reading Twilight i read many other books that were just so much more, interesting and i lost faith in them. *shrugs*
The Host was better. It was an exciting scifi/ romance story and it was truly gripping!
come on guys, let's face it, there are honestly better movies than twilight out there, even though it was a phenomenon and all . . . but I have to say Pirates of the Caribbean 3 At Worlds End is the best. :D Don't kill me! I STILL LUV TWILIGHT TO DEATH!!!
Hey Cali,Johnny Depp could be playing a game of chess on the beach for 4 hours, and it would be an excellent movie :]
Yep, it would be a good movie!!
It would be the best movie ever! "Rolling stone said: A gripping plot, and action story filled with twists and turns, with just enough humor in the mix!"
thx, I like Cam Gigandet. TEE HEE!!
(Waves back* HI SBG!!! yes I agree with your points. And there is pedophilia in all of the books.Bella and Edward- 107 and 19
Quil and Clare- 16 and 2
Jacob and Renesme- 16 and...2 months? *shudders*
Hi guys! I like the Twilight Sagas, but the movie really sucked. Books always are better than their movie counterparts. But, I don't think that the movie did justice to the essence of that love story.
The Release date for the DVD was just announced...March 21 or something like that. Anyway...it can be pre-ordered on Amazon.com.
Hey did you see (Jacob) Taylor's new look?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyAXgz...
I think he grew a couple inches taller as well :]
