Wolfstar sat in front of her den and watched her clan

Dewpaw walked out of the medicine cats den walking toward the the territory "Hi Wolfstar" she said walking out.

Wolfstar nodded to Dewpaw. "Hello Dewpaw. Where are you going?"

Wolfstar shook her head, a little alarmed, but she didn't show it. "Why, has she disappeared?"

" I'm going out to look for herbs" she said" we're running low on just about everything"

Wolfstar stood. "I can get a warrior to look for her."

[[deleted user]]

"I'm sure she's fine," Wolfstar assured the queen. "Kits like to sneak off. I remember when I was a kit." She flicked her tail to Foxleap. "Come," she said. She padded to the center of the clearing and turned back to Foxleap. "In fact, I can go look for her."

Ochresplash smoothed out his brown fur with his tongue beside a shadowed bush and straightened to scan the clearing. His gaze caught Snowfeather's and he nodded.
"How's it going?" he rasped.
Snowfeather angled her ears towards Wolfstar's den. "Featherkit's just gone missing, but I doubt that she's in any trouble. Kits-"
"I know kits," Ochresplash interrupted with a flick of his tail. He paused. "You should know them too."
His daughter gave a dismissive roll of her eyes and padded away, leaving Ochresplash sighing.

Wolfstar saw Snowfeather and called her over. "Featherkit's missing," she explained quickly. "I want you to send a warrior to look for her or you can look for her yourself. I'll try to find her." Without waiting for an answer she padded out of camp. She knew she could count on Snowfeather to do what was needed.

"hmmm... Maybe I shouldve told Vinefut..." she thought turning around to go back to the medicine cat den.

Wolfstar padded back into camp and called, "Snowfeather?"

Snowfeather heard Wolfstar's call and paused. Ducking out of the warriors den, she turned and padded back into the clearing. "Yes, Wolfstar?" she meowed.

Wolfstar said, "I found Featherkit." She purred. "She was fishing. Actually, she caught something too."

[[deleted user]]

Snowfeather's eyes widened as she saw Featherkit and her load. "That's..that's amazing, Featherkit! Well done!"

Wolfstar shook her head wryly. "Well done, but don't sneak out of camp again, Featherkit."

Wolfstar laughed. "Fishing. She caught a minnow."

Snowfeather purred. "Both," she meowed, eyes shining with amusement.

"Let's go with both," Wolfstar agreed. She nodded to Foxleap and glanced at Snowfeather.
