message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Erik walked along the coast, casually glancing out at the horizon.

message 4: by yael (new)

yael She walked beside Erik wordlessly.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

"Are you going to come with us tomorrow?"

message 6: by yael (new)

yael She ran her fingers through her hair in thought. "I think so. But I still don't like her." She said stubbornly.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

The wind tousled his hair and whipped it into his eyes. "Neither do I," he admitted. "But things are getting desperate. We need to find something to live off of soon or we're doomed."

message 8: by yael (new)

yael She sighed in defeat. "Okay fine. But I choose not to think about fate too much." She shifted her gaze and increased her speed.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

"Fate is not the same thing as destiny," he said, putting his hands into his pockets. "Fate can be changed, if you take the initiative."

message 10: by yael (new)

yael "Well I don't see a clear intiative right now." She sighed. The topic was getting more uncomfortable. She chewed the inside of her cheek.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

He grunted. "We just have to keep looking."

message 12: by yael (new)

yael She shrugged it off. And then walked over to th water. She sat down and put her head in her knees.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

After a moment Erik came and sat down beside her, pulling his knees up into his arms. There was nothing more to say, so he said nothing.

message 14: by yael (new)

yael ((ill be back ina while im going to buy something once my mom is done))

She glanced in the opposite direction, silently scowling to herself.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

His brow furrowed, Erik said, "There has to be more."

message 16: by yael (new)

yael "More what?" she asked.,Araina dug her fingers in the sand.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

"More of us. More survivors," he said, looking bitterly out to the horizon. "I just don't see how we can be the only ones."

message 18: by yael (new)

yael "Well. Look at it this way. If we can't find them, then there good survivors. the better a survivor the longer they will last, right?" she smiled weakly. She wasn't used to making people feel better.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

"Either that, or we're the only ones looking," he frowned. He turned to look at her. "If you were the only survivor in your entire city, or even state, wouldn't you want to keep looking for more?"

message 20: by yael (new)

yael She shifted her gaze to his direction and sighed in defeat. "Yes I would. I guess I used to feel that way before I met you people." She said.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Nodding he said, "I have a theory. What if there are more survivors, a large population of them? They'd be extremely far away, god knows where, but they'd be independent and wouldn't need to keep looking for more. It's entirely possible, don't you think?"

message 22: by yael (new)

yael "I have one thing to say and one thing only. That has to be the craziest theory I've ever heard. But it has a possibility of being right." She said.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

"But it makes sense, when you start to think about it," he argued.

message 24: by yael (new)

yael "Yes at least it makes sense." She leaned back, thinking hard.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

"We should head back," he said suddenly, his expression hard.

message 26: by yael (new)

yael She shook her head and waved him off. "You could go if you want. I need to think of something." She stood up.
