As far as I know, the title was changed when the story was published in "Weird Tales" in 1934, so it is the same story.
That's correct. REH's title was "Iron Shadows on the Moon." The editor of Weird Tales changed the title.
So, my usual refrain of, "late again" rings out! I'm starting this story today and hope to finish it fairly quickly as we have a national bank holiday here in England on Monday (those bankers finally showing they can do at least one thing right - have extra holidays!).Anybody else read this one yet?
I read this one last year as part of the collection The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian. I thought it was good but not one of the better Conan stories. There is a random feel to some of the plot elements which all seem mixed together without much care. Still, average REH Conan is better than a lot of other books. It's worth a read, and you can probably find it online for free.

This story is also known as Iron Shadows of the Moon: does anybody know if there is any difference between the stories, other than the title?
