I hated the ending of it! How it was like "yeah I had a pretty neat boyfriend, but NO I will ditch him for my job and then expect him to take me back once I come to my senses." She was a tad shallow in my opinion!

I could not stand MockingJay. Horrible and ruined one of my fave series. Also I didn't like most of the faceless ones except for the ending

I disliked Valkyrie's attitude problem in the Death Bringer. I think, yes - she has problems and alot on her plate - but taking it out on everyone else was not the way to go about it. Another hate for me is Angel in the Maximum Ride series. The whole things with the flock breaking up and the storyline being stretched, was for me a little too much. Some series need to just stop!

I didn't really like Inkspell much. I always got to a certain point where I gave up so i read it like 3 times till I finally finished it and then when i got to Inkdeath I gave up again so I might try Inkdeath again

I'm with you pal! Go Edward! :D

Oh I agree, I started reading the House of Night Series and just couldn't bring myself to keep going, that and the Immortals series by Alyson Noel....

Exactly! How can someone hate Ed..wait for it..The Edward Cullen..??? Totally outta my mind dude!

Seriously! He's a Vampire, and really gorgeous and handsome and terrific and good-looking and...*shakes head thinking she should really get out of The Edward Trance* He's awesome. People with no brains hate someone like him!

The ending was a big cliffhanger! I dint want it to end! I was like "Why did it have to stop here??!! Couldn't it just go on a little bit more!??! "

i just thought she shoude have ended it in a different way.

The series is awesome! Rocking! :D
I read the first book in the series but then I lost interest. But I have seen the first 3 movies so far.

I tried reading Stray by Rachel Vincent and couldn't get past the 6th chapter :/

Since when does a woman that is raped fall in love with her rapist? Since when will she willingly move to his house, marry him and have children with him?? :S
Also, I don't quite like books by Nicholas Sparks but I don't hate them.

And I could never finish Dark Visions by LJ Smith, even though all her other books I've read I've liked.

I hate Bella Swan, the stupid, vapid, superficial, selfish, annoying protagonist. I hate Edward, the sparkly, depressed, stalker-ish, 108 year old, personality-less 'vampire'.
I hate how we are being told how beautiful he is every few pages.
I hate the 2 dimensional characters.
I hate the writing.
Basically, I hate everything about this series.
If you like the series, please don't hold it against me. I still like you :)
I didn't like the House of Night series. I am not sure why. i think it was not the idea of the series but the way it was written really annoyed me and didn't appeal to me.

I am a little suprised by your list & i am right in saying that you hate the above??
Lucinda :)"
Why are you surprised? And yes, you are correct!

It just didn't really capture my attention for some reason. And personally, I am not a huge fan of Stephanie Meyers writing style. That's just my opinion.

Mockingjay
The Hobbit"
Yes! I'm not the only one who hates Mocking Jay! Thanks Olivia for being with me! Pheww..

Haha You got it! I just absolutely couldn't stand the ending!

It was awful! It was basically like Katniss did it all for nothing because she did it all for Prim and *SPOILER* Prim dies!
Olivia wrote: "Booknut wrote: "Mockingjay's ending was horrible!!"

And Gale's a tad bit insensitive to her at the end of it too - I mean, Katniss went through alot and he's all "Well, I'm off," and goes off!! At least Peeta hangs in there with her :D

Exactly! How could Gale just up and leave right after Prim dies! It's soo messed up! And ya Peeta stays but he was all screwy because of the whole memory thing and whatnot. It was just all in all a really bad ending.

Peeta was the worst part by far - I wanted him to be the same steadfast Peeta we knew but he's all screwed up and babyish and I know it sound insensitive but it just ruined it for me!! All I wanted was the old Peeta, and then Katniss had to go lose her mind too!!
The scene with President Snow and the roses at the end...wth?!!

I agree. Yes, I wanted Peeta and Katniss together, but I wanted PEETA and KATNISS together, not some people who were like them but weren't.
And the whole President Snow thing drove me crazy!

Good point. Mockinjay was disappointing.

Shadow Of A Bull
Tuck Everlasting
The Pearl
Blood and Chocolate

Oh so very true. I was completely enraptured in the series until I finished Mockingjay. I closed it and just stared. Blinked a few times and said, "WHAT THE EFF!". Then I shunned it until I could stand to think about it again.
Also, whomever mentioned "The Devil Wears Prada" at the the beginning of this thread many months ago, I agree! That book follows the same ridiculous plot line that SO many other chick-lit books do - giving women everywhere a bad name. Le sigh!
Someone else mentioned that "Flowers in the Attic" left them feeling icky after reading it but that they couldn't even recall why. I just want to note that it's probably because that book is about incest - which would leave most people feeling icky, lol. I haven't read it yet but I bought it at a thrift store so I could finally just read it and get it over with.

It's a cliche paranormal romance with enough sap to drown a reader.
I like the characters (except Luce) but the plot was wack.
I really just don't really like paranormal romances, so maybe it's just my bias opinion :)

Yeah, I agree. I read this series and I was really disappointed cause it wasn't too good. I also didn't really like The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove by Lauren Kate because the ending was really bad.

Mockingjay was fine, by comparison to other books in the same genre, but when compared to the other books in the trilogy, it wasn't nearly as good.
Prim's was an unnecessary death that underminded the whole plot and Katniss' drive for equality.
Gale's story was just a loose end that Susan quickly finished... And finished badly.
the Epilogue was slightly cliche, though I actually liked it.
I can say these things because I love the series, and as a fan, feel obliged to raise my opinions.
