Joanne Merriam (joannemerriam) | 10 comments Is there a way to edit the links for the "Get a copy:" section of a book's page?

Currently the automated version is not finding the books under my imprint (eg when you click the Barnes & Noble button for http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13... you get a "Sorry, we could not find what you were looking for." from the B&N site, even though the book is in their catalog). Presumably the problem is that the book has two ISBNs and it's searching for the wrong one? I'd love to be able to just fix this so the books are easier to find for people who want them, but I can't figure out where I need to go to provide the link to the book in the bookstore's catalog. This book is also available through GR but it's not obvious where to click to get to it. Thanks for any help!

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments There is no way to edit these links.

For the edition you linked, the issue is that it has an ASIN number - which is unique to Amazon. This edition will not be found on Barnes and Noble (or any other bookseller site, for that matter).

I've added a new edition of the book using the BNID from Barnes and Noble, if users are looking at this edition they will be directed to the B&N site.

Joanne Merriam (joannemerriam) | 10 comments Thanks!

Just to clarify, there were two editions of this book, one with the ASIN and one with the ISBN (which is what B&N and other sellers have), which I then combined. So, I should be creating three editions, and the extra edition should have a BNID? I'd like for readers to be able to buy the book without having to know which of the otherwise identical versions of the book they should click on, if that's possible.

I appreciate your guidance!
