Elizabeth | 8 comments The author of a book I just added to my shelf (Little Chicken and Little Fox) has two authority records on the Library of Congress site: Brigitte Sidjanski and Brigitte Hanhart. The first record has has Sidjanski in the 100 field and Hanhart in the 500 field, and the second has Hanhart in the 100 field and Sidjanski in the 500. (There is a third option, Brigitte Sidjanski-Hanhart, but that is only in the 400 field.)

For the sake of uniformity, which name should I use so that all the books by the same author can be together, or do I need to keep them separate?

Sandra | 31515 comments Having a look through WorldCat, they are kept totally separate, just like LoC. They are both still publishing so it must be deliberate.

So I'd keep them separate just put a note in their Author bios.
