Outfitted in one of the white training outfits, Lark was shooting arrows at a dummy. Though she was far from amazing, many hit somewhere near the heart. Her usual thick, dirty blonde hair was pulled up into a braid, and her cold expression was soothed into that of what she really was: a girl of twelve, burdened with a not-so-great home life and a power to see into other people's minds.

Lark set aside her bow, scowling as she glanced at the team sign declaring mer name as 'Bettany Rommeli'. Oh, how she hated that name!

Startled, Lark turned to Moses. Her expression melted into that of a sheepish smile. "Nope, unfortunately its--Bettany. Rommeli." She cringed, as if it really pained her. Somewhat truthful, for once.

"Yeah. My mom loves Italy." Lark replied, turning back to the weapons rack and carefully choosing a few knives. "Now, are you going to train or not?" She murmured playfully, inspecting the knives and looking up at Moses through tangled dirty blonde eyelashes.

(( Garh. I thought I posted.))

Lark's delicate hands flew to her ears, but she was already contemplating her next move. As clairvoyance wasn't really an offensive power, she decided to read Moses' mind in order to predict his next move. Focusing, she concentrated, one hand moving from her ear to a wooden training knife on the weapons rack.

Lark, however, ducked and then pounced on Moses, trapped him underneath her and holding the wooden knife to his neck. "Dead. Wanna try again?"

Narrowly avoiding his knee by rolling of of him, Lark tried to get up. Reading his mind was just so hard to do while avoiding his blows, plus, his power wasn't one that let her concentrate. "Come at me, bro."

Her eyes widened, and she braced herself, flying back from the sound waves impact, twirled around by two and pushed by another. How had she not seen that coming? She groaned. "Not. Fair." she squeaked, pretended the wind was knocked out of her. Lark was going to use her wits instead of her agility in this fight.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Darn. He wasn't falling for it. It seemed to Lark that Moses preferred to just use his powers as his weapon, but the blonde didn't have that luxury. Instead, it seemed she'd have to be offensive. Just as he turned away slightly, seemingly confident she was through, Lark sprang, kicking him square in the back. Hands ere still tightly clamped about her ears, though it hardly helped against the noise. How did he stand it?

"Are you really gonna punch a girl?" Lark laughed, rushing towards him and using her body to knock him off her feet.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Pain exploded in her jaw, where he'd punched her first. The other punch she narrowly avoided by ducking. Holding her jaw with one hand, she punched him in the stomach, using her body weight to pin him Dan as he fell.

((Dan? *down))

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

He got her right in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her slight frame. On the ground now, gasping for air, Lark was disoriented, and almost beaten. Almost.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Grinning as she regained her breath, Lark kicked upwards, landing on her feet and bowling Moses over. "It's not fair, I can't use my powers in this."

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

"Hey!" She huffed, insulted. "I just have to work on some of my fighting. Thanks for the practice, though."

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

"Temporarily." Though Lark's tone was playful, she meant it. She'd play nice. Moses was turning out to be very helpful in getting information on him and his siblings.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Sitting up and stretching, Lark studied Moses. Eh. He wasn't as good as he thought he was. "G'bye, then." Setting her training equipment back on it's rack, Lark strode out of the training room.

((Fade?))
