Kendal stayed in her hiding place. She hugged her knees and rested her head on them. Not looking to see where Cecily was, she kept her breathing slow and deep. She easily kept completely silent. Waiting for Cecily to either leave or find her.

Cecily slowed down, looking for the boy as she stalked around the area a bit.

Kendal could hear Cecily, or feel her through her surroundings. She could hear the Tailed Girl's breathing and light foot steps on the room's floor. Keeping her concentration, Kendal tried her best to remain undetected.
((Scarecrow wrote: "Kendal, losing interest and wanting to see Bear, slid down and headed for the house. She smelled the food as she opened the door. The scent had wafted around the house. She didn't understand how so..."
No, Kendal had head back into the house before she ran into Lilia. She's still inside.))

((Gah I AM ILLITERATE! *throws more books*))
She looked under one of the small tables in the room, she had found something, but it wasn't Kendal. She frowned, taking it out from under the small table. She hadn't remembered it being under there.
It was a sword, one that she had been looking for forever. She thought that she had lost it on one of her missions, but guess not...She smiled and hooked it to her belt, her smile was huge now. She went to continue searching for Kendal.

((Haha. DA DA DA DAAAA~ Cecily gained lost sword!))
Kendal simply sat and listened. Sensing everything around the room. She had seen the sword while she was exploring the house and she could hear Cecily hooking the weapon onto her belt again. She couldn't help but give a small smile. Her merchant friend always told her that a sword is like a friend that is also a part of you. A segment of one's self. It's happiest at it's masters side. She could even hear the words in his voice and she felt a slight home sickness, but suppressed it.

((Pfft xD She sure did :D))
Looking around some more, she frowned, thinking that she would never be able to find Kendal. The child could very well be anywhere. She tagged Lilia and the dog pranced off in Kendal's direction, urging her to come out by licking her toes with her slimy tongue.

Kendal curled her bare toes, coming out of her hiding spot. "Gross!" She said, laughing. She dashed out of the room and down the hall again. She leaped onto the windowsill of one of the bedrooms and, using her hands on the top of the window, launched herself into the yard. There, after landing on her feet, she quickly sped up and tagged Bear. Bear made a small gruff like sound, bounding off and into the house again. He used his long, muscular, canine legs to push himself toward Cecily.
As Bear came hurdling after Cecily, she did not notice until the last second. She managed to dodge by the hair on her neck, jumping out of the way and landing on her feet. Her ears twitching slightly. "Nice try."
Bear had a dopy, dog like smiled across his lips as he hunched over a bit, sticking his tail end in the air to show that he wanted to play. He lurched forward again, trying to tag Cecily for a second time.
Cecily laughed and ran from the dog, laughing at his expression. He looked cute that way. She smiled and turned a sharp corner.
Bear bolted after, his tongue lolling out of his mouth. He barked, letting the deep, low sound fill the hall. He leaped and nearly crashed into a wall, but just caught himself. He turned, keeping up the pace.
She laughed and then kept running, she was enjoying this play. It amused her and she hadn't had so much fun in a while.
Bear suddenly flopped over, seemingly in pain. He wheezed and coughed. His front legs twitched a bit and he had a panicked expression on his furry face.
Cecily twirled around and ran over to the dog after hearing him fall to the ground. Lilia came darting over as well. Cecily nearly panicked as she watched the dog, too stunned to figure out what was wrong and what she should do.
Kendal had just turned the corner when she saw what was happening. With a shocked and worried expression she shot a panicked glance toward Cecily. "Don't fall for that!" But it was already too late. As soon as Cecily had come into range, Bear had leaped up. He nosed her cheek to tag her and disappeared into the rest of the house. Kendal rolled her eyes after her canine companion. "Don't look at me. I didn't teach him that."
Cecily sighed, "That is one smart dog..." She said aloud, impressed. She stood up and smiled at Kendal, after tagging Lilia of course. Like a tiny rocket of fur, the dog shot after Bear with her tongue lolled out of her mouth.

Bear hurried away, straining his long legs to carry him further from the smaller dog.
Kendal shrugged at Cecily with a lazy smile. "Yeah, I always thought that was kind of odd about him."

((I did, sorry if it's late. :( ))
She shrugged, "It's a good trait...maybe he is like an opossum....he can play dead..." She laughed at that a bit.
Lilia ran speedily after him, stopping once to catch her breath, but then she continued to run quickly after him.
Lilia ran speedily after him, stopping once to catch her breath, but then she continued to run quickly after him.
Bear looped around and headed back toward the others, hoping that the smaller dog would go after the targets that were not moving. The easier prey were coming into view and Bear hurried past them. They would also serve as a good obstacle to put more distance between him and the tagger.
Lilia barked and had her tongue lolled out of her mouth as she ran after Bear, then she made a sharp turn, going after Kendal, as if she was not going to go after Cecily due to the fact that there might not be any Tag-Backs.
Kendal dashed into the room with the spiders and leaped into the still open window. She pushed off and grabbed onto a nearby tree, swinging herself up to sit on the branch. Now high above the ground and out of the house, she waited.
Lilia paused under the tree, looked up and saw that Kendal was sitting up in it. She whined and wagged her tail, trying to get the child to come down. Putting her front paws on the tree she continued to look up and barked at her.
Kendal just slowly shook her head in response to the dog. Lilia was 'it' after all. Watching her with a keen eye, she waited for the dog to choose it's course of action.
Lilia whined softly as she wagged her tail. She jumped a few times to try and get up the tree and failed. Lilia still was intent on getting Kendal and making her it.
Kendal pouted and stared at the dog. After a while she sighed, feeling a bit like a bully. She grabbed onto the branch she was sitting on and swung onto the ground letting Lilia tag her.
The game continued for a bit longer before they decided to quit. Kendal was laying on the couch. "So, what kind of work do you have to do, Tailed Girl?" she asked.

Kendal rolled her eyes. "I've seen your work." She said. She had seen the bloody mess of a man from the rocks from before. "Stop treating me like a kid. I wanted to know if you had any new assignments." She was curious as to what the woman had come by about earlier. She had only heard the last few words.
She nodded and then explained what the woman had told her before. "So technically, I do have a job, but It is a bit sketchy." She smiled, "Nothing to worry too much about though."
"Ah." Was all Kendal had to say about it. Her stomach growled loudly and Kendal looked away, a bit embarrassed. She shook her head, as if to shake off the awkwardness. "What else is there to do around here?" Kendal asked.
"Well we could go wander around for a little while." She said, noting that Kendal hadn't seen the city yet. "I think we should go look around the area for a little bit."
Kendal sat up quickly with anticipation. "Are the buildings really that tall? Do they tower over you? Do they light up?" She smiled brightly and bounced a little bit involuntarily. "Let's go!" She jumped up and leaped toward the door. "Will my clothes be clean when we get back? Not that I don't like these, but mine are more normal to me." She slung her book bag over one shoulder and turned the knob. "Don't be slow, Tailed Girl. Move it."
"Okay okay." She got up and followed Kendal. "And yes, your clothes will be clean, but I need to dry them first." She smiled. "Also, the buildings do light up and tower over you. It is actually pretty impressive."
Kendal simply waited for the Tailed Girl to lead the way. "What's the town's name? Maybe I have heard about it. I have met travelers from all over." She pointed out.
"This is Tirierrah. One of the main port towns. There are a lot of places to see and it's pretty big too." She smiled. "You'll like it, there are a lot of cool things to do around here."
Kendal simply nodded. "Well? Come on Tailed Girl, which way? I've never been there. You can't expect me to lead, do you?
She laughed. "Alright alright~" She said and started to lead Kendal towards the City. It was glowing brightly in the distance and it made her smile. Not only was it one of the biggest cities, it was one of the most alive and active.

Kendal walked with the Tailed Girl as she kept her eyes fixed on the growing light in the distance. It was like nothing she had ever seen before. Cities were big and full of people. A small blue child "boy" might be a bit odd for ordinary folk. She had decided never to go into town, but with the Tailed Girl, she figured she would be alright.
Cecily smiled over at Kendal and then led 'him' around the place, the building outside were tall and they lit up the sky with unnatural lights, but it was quite a interesting sight to see. She took Kendal around to the park where an amazing sight would light up when the fountain in the center of the park, the lights were different colors, making a rainbow of a fountain, and the coolest thing was that you could stand in the center of the fountain and watch the lights as the water came up from the outside in. It was a truely magical sight to see.
Kendal rushed up to the fountain and put her hands on the edge of the cold, slimy stone. She leaned her upper body over it to get a closer look. She had to stand on the tips of her toes, but it didn't diminish the excitement that resonated in her eyes. "I've heard of this!" She exclaimed. The merchant that taught her how to use a blade had spoken of a fountain like this. "People come to make wishes here for coins, yeah?" She asked.
"There are fountains like that, in fact there is one fountain close to this one like that, called the Wishing Well. But this one is a little different from the others." She said, then pointed to the center, as she looked at her watch. "Watch the center of the Fountain." She said, and then began counting down from 10 to 1.
Kendal kept her eyes wide and transfixed on the center of the colorful fountain, waiting some what impatiently. She found herself leaning closer and closer as she stared intently at the flowing water.
When Cecily had said the word "one" Colorful water shot up from the fountain's middle and then one after another, rings of different colored water announced themselves by making a very pretty entrance. Cecily had to smile because this sight was always one that made her do so.
When the fountain started to 'perform,' Kendal watched with eyes wide open. She had a look of complete shock and amazement painted on her face. The light of the fountain reflected in her eyes as they danced. Kendal waited in hushed silence as the water moved. She had only heard of these kinds of things from travelers. She, who had grown up in a lab, and then woods, didn't have a well enough education to understand how such a thing worked. Her unending questions, however, were pushed to the back of her mind from the elegant fountain.
Cecily looked over at her, "So what do you think?" She asked, smiling at the child. "Pretty amazing isn't it?" The fountain was a magnificent sight, with all kinds of colors of the rainbow and then some.
