A Couple Problems

Hi. I'm hoping someone could help me out.

I was just trying to add my new book and set up an author page. My first problem is other books by other Shannon Ryans attaching to my profile.

The other problem is that my publisher seems to have recycled by ISBN (9780981969671) I'd really like the "get a copy" links to work.

Oh, and please tell me if I have the wrong forum. I'm a noob here.

Your author profile is Shannon^^^Ryan where ^ = space

It is better for your name to have the spaces as that will stop the imports importing books to your profile.

ISBN can only be added once to the database. You can add in to the descriptiion of your book the isbn or will need to ask your publisher to get another.

I don' think the get a copy links work without an ISBN

Hi again.

I have some follow up information on this. I am afraid I made a bad assumption about the ISBN. I had not gotten a resolution from my publisher and assumed it was re-issued in error.

I talked to my editor last night, and he is adamant that the ISBN 0981969674 is new and unique to Minion of Evil. He has no idea why it is showing up belonging to the other book.

Sorry for any confusion this has caused. I am new to Goodreads as well as working with my publisher.

I'm not so sure you did make a bad assumption (although you'd think the editor would know). But according to worldcat.org, that ISBN belongs to the book Barrow by Bryan Thao Worra. There are apparently several libraries carrying that book with that ISBN.
