I have recently joined Goodreads and yours is the first group's whose remarks i am now following. I hope to join you in your monthly book reading some time in the summer when i have finished the pile by my bed and the one beeing edited on my computer! Lovely to find such a wonderfully interesting group. Wish i had found Goodreads sooner, it shall take me a year to upload all the books let alone to catch up wtih any Lacunaes! ( pun intended!)
Welcome, Marella. I hope the pile by your bed isn't too high, and that the book being edited on your computer goes quickly and well.
Thank you Casceil! Yes. And i shall note the book choice for April, but I probably will wait until May or June to join the reading group. Thanks for the welcome!

Hi. I basically joined with the intent of lurking. This group is reading great stuff, but I'm already severely over-booked with a couple other groups and personal reading. So I'm being noncommittal to the reading part, but enjoying the discussions.
Marella, I wanted to suggest that you consider downloading the Goodreads app if have a smartphone and haven't already done so. It has a 'scan' function that let's you enter books into your GR library by just scanning the ISBN code. It's very quick and easy.

Welcome, Marella! If you're anything like me, that pile by your bed will never actually go away. If you do manage to slip a few of our choices into that pile this summer, though, we'd love to have you join in the discussion.Whitney: Please feel free to lurk away, and thanks for letting us know we're on track with our goal of reading (and discussing) great stuff!
Hi everyone!I stumbled upon this group the other day and I am excited by all the lively discussions that happen here! In fact, I was so excited by the discussions, that I kind of did things backwards as I have already jumped into your conversation about Philip Roth's 'Nemesis'.
I am looking forward to the April reads. I hope to get to both of them!
Jane from BC: You certainly jumped in with style! Your comment in Nemesis had me looking at the thematic elements from a whole new perspective. Hopefully we'll see you in more discussions around here. Welcome!

Thanks to ThingTwo for the invite! I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this group very much! Here's a link to my blog to see what I've been reading the last year and a half: http://bethslistlove.wordpress.com
thank you Witney. I have uploaded the ap Great recommendation!
Love the book recommendations and choices in this book club. I've been buying books like a fiend since I found Goodreads. I'm wondering if anyone with a nook would be interested in becoming friends and sharing books. I haven't done it before but my understanding is that books that are lendable can be shared amongst nook owners who become friends through barnes and noble. Would anyone be interested?
I read all of my books on the Nook. I'd be happy to Friend and Share, but I have no idea how, so you'd have to figure out what I need to do.
It's new to me too Matthew. You go to Barnes and Noble on line. Click on Nook and then my nook library. It'll ask you to sign in. Accross the top you'll see home, library and friendsClick on friends and then add friends email inivte and put in the email. Or you could send me your email and I'll do it first which might help.
Hi, my name is Darlene. This is the first group I joined on Goodreads. I thought I'd lurk a bit but no way could I...you are all way too much fun so I thought I'd jump in the pool. The book selections are spot on perfection and the discussions lively. Bring it on, I say! I have a kindle on overload and about to burst at the seams if it could, and a personal library that is well culled over the years to reflect my tastes and what I consider now to be the best that literature has to offer. Your group selections; judging by what you've chosen over the last year; mirrors my library. I think we will be good together. Thanks for being here.
So glad to hear it, Darlene! I'm worried we might not be able to live up to those high expectations, but it sounds like your participation and contributions would go a long way in helping us out in that regard. Glad to have you aboard.
Thanks to Daniel and Deborah for the warm welcome. I look forward to future discussions with all of you. No worries about living up to my expectations, I just joined a book club at my library and shook like a leaf at the first meeting only to find out that I was quite welcome. They are a spirited group and I was invited for happy hour afterwards. I am a little quiet for their tastes but I went anyways and enjoyed getting to know them even if I didn't say much. ( Trust me...it was a first for me. Ha ha) I'm recovering from a major surgery and just getting used to human beings again is a major accomplishment for me. This is why an online book group works so well for me. Again, thanks for the welcome.
