Mandy sat by the river, watching as the water rushed past. She sighed, no matter what she did, she couldn't stop thinking about Spencer. She ran a hand through her wavy brown hair. Mandy angrily burned a nearby flower, but that wasn't enough to vent all of her anger. Why do I always have to ruin things? she thought. She stood up suddenly, felling the need to move around. She could think of one very effective way to let off some steam. Mandy looked around to make sure she was alone, then closed her eyes and concentrated. She began muttering a spell under her breath.
Ginny possibly arrived at the most interesting, or the worst moment possible. "Hiya Mandy." she said, jumping down from a tree she had been sitting on. "You know I don't like it when you hurt my flowers." she added, rolling her eyes in irritation. Her eyes flickered green, and another flower grew from the ashes of the dead one. "But I'll forgive you if you tell me who pissed you off so much."
Mandy's eyes snapped open and her eyes flashed gold, she blinked and they were back to normal. "Ginny, what have I told you about sneaking up on me like that! I was right in the middle of a spell!" Mandy glared at the flower and it shrivelled again, ignoring her question.
"Oh uh." she said, although a smile curved her lips. "Someone has a temper today. I guess who ever put you in this mood did it good." Ginny added, ignoring the threat. She again revived the flower, not deteriorated by Mandy's determination to make her mad. Ginny was used to people trying to piss her off, and it took a lot nowadays.
((My charrie is done!))Mandy gave up on the flower, no matter how many times she burned it, she knew Ginny would just bring it back to life. It would take way too long to tell her all about what happened that day so she decided to show her instead. She walked over and put a hand on Ginny's shoulder. Mandy closed her eyes, a quick summary of the day's events forcing it's way into Ginny's head.
Ginny grimaced, and she bit her lip. "I know him. My mother is friends with his Aunt, that's who he lives with." she said, then smiled a bit. "He's cute, how'd you swing that?" she teased, stepping out of the firezone just in case.
"He is way better than cute," Mandy said, her face stony. "He is probably one of the most attractive guys I have ever seen. That's what's driving me crazy!" she yelled, throwing her hands up in the air in exasperation. "Ginny, why can't I meet normal guys? I practically tell him my life story and all I get in return is: I like pancakes. EVERYBODY LIKES PANCAKES!" Mandy screamed, setting a tree on fire.
Ginny flinched, and she sighed. Everything that happened to the earth around her, she could feel if she was tuned in, and it wasn't exactly pleasant to cut off the connection she had with earth. It was unnatural. "Would you knock it off." she snapped, "I can feel that, and it isn't exactly comfortable. And for the guy, maybe he had a good reason."

((yea, we ended up going to...a lot of places. :P And I can tell, you and Rose have like 20 going at once. ^-^))
Mandy's expression softened. "Sorry, I forgot," she apologized, extinguishing the tree. "It's not like I'm the perfect person, my past is about as horrible as it gets. I just don't understand why he was so determined not to tell me."
Ginny recovered the tree, with a little effort. "Its okay." she said, already over it. "And I don't understand either, obviously. But setting things on fire isn't exactly helping anything. Why don't you do something productive?"
Mandy sighed and ran a hand through her hair again. All the heat had made it a little frizzy. "Something productive? Like what?" she asked.
She shrugged, pulling her red hair back into a loose ponytail. "I was headed into town...you could come with me. I've been looking around for someone. But I can never find him." Ginny hesitated, realizing how her words sounded. "I'm not stalker, swear."
Mandy smirked. "Of course not. You just like following people around," she said jokingly. "I guess I can take some time out my busy schedule to go to town with you," she agreed, glad for something to do.
"Good. And I do not like following people. I didn't even mean to talk to him. Just sort of-" she shrugged, "Happened." Ginny didn't know how else to explain talking to Lance. It had been a couple of days since she had seen him...it wasn't like she was downright looking for him. But she couldn't help but hope she would run into him.
"I know what you mean," Mandy said, thinking of Spencer. She quickly shook that memory out of her head. "Let's go," she said, walking towards the town.
