Beth ~Mrs.SheldonCooper~ Would you think this be a good movie? They're talking about making it a movie. I think they should make it a movie. I pictured the whole book in my head.

Katelyn Broad I would watch it. I'm sure it could make a good movie. I pictured the whole thing in my head too as I was reading it!

Ziyue Omg! I would watch it! I had a film/movie playing about in my head when I was reading it! I wonder what the cast would be if they do make it into a movie. There should b a movie!

Angelica When i first read this book i thought it was already a movie (Failure of myself) but if they did make it a movie i would really go watch it! i wonder what would be the cast? BUT THERE SHOULD MAKE THIS A MOVIE!

Allie I think it would be cool as a movie

Allison high tech hopfully. Hope they got a good budget to make it look realistic

Whitney I don't think it'd be a very interesting movie. It wouldn't be very long because not much happens.

Library Lady 📚 It might be hard to translate Cassia's inner struggle on film. Not sure how they would do that. I pictured her as sort of a Selena Gomez type. I don't know about the guys.

Celeste I would defiantly watch that! That would be cool!

Valerie yay! I want to watch it!

I think that the second book would make a lot better movie; the first book dealt a lot with Cassia's inner struggles and included a lot of memories from her past... when you think of the actual plot, there really wasn't a whole lot of action until the very end when they take Ky away.

Beth ~Mrs.SheldonCooper~ The second book would because I think it had more drama in it. And more action!

message 14: by Dia (new) - added it

Dia I agree with Wendy. The first book was great, but for movie purposes, I don't think it would cross over to be a good movie. There wasn't any action or drama. Like Wendy said, the book portrayed inner conflict, which I think would be boring for a movie.

Grace they need to make a movie<3

Beth ~Mrs.SheldonCooper~ Diane wrote: "I've read somewhere that Disney has bought the film rights for this book. I'm not sure though, there is a possibility that I'm just imagining this :P. Anyway, I'm gonna watch the movie! :)"

Me too! It's so possible that they might! I read it on the website.

Naomi Scarlett I didn't really like the book but i might see the movie if they make one

message 18: by RP (new) - rated it 3 stars

RP they rn't shooting it yet, but the process is going

Swathika Manu I bet it will be cool. Disney got the film rights. Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot will produce the film.

Seaspray13 I HOPE THEY MAKE A MOVIE!!!!

Catherine Diane wrote: "So who do you think should play Cassia? I'm pushing for Taylor Swift <3"

but it would look weird because taylor has blonde hair and they can't die her hair because it would just look weird and it is like her statement. when u think of taylor you think of her hair well at least i do

Catherine Naomi wrote: "I didn't really like the book but i might see the movie if they make one"

same here

Catherine the book got kind of boring

Elora I liked the book but I think they would slaughter it as a movie like they did with Twilight.

george ☽ It'd be an amazing movie. I'd go and watch it as soon as it came out!

* Sara Johns* I'd definitely go watch it. I think this one would be fairly easy to write and portray on film.

Darlene I don't think it's the movie-type but I guess I would watch it anyways just because. I like Allison Miller from Terra Nova as Cassia.

Beth ~Mrs.SheldonCooper~ Diane wrote: "So who do you think should play Cassia? I'm pushing for Taylor Swift <3"

Same here. She would make a great Cassia!

★ Mist ☆ Cassidy ★ I would so deffinitely watch it. I think it would be great!

Miranda It would be such a dull movie!!!! It wouldn't work cinematically. This book is all about the WRITING and how flowery it is. Nope. It would be a terrible movie.

Stéphanie id watch it. it could be really cool,

message 32: by Ascel (new)

Ascel Kadhem They would make teams. It would be a boring movie.

Chrissy Lena wrote: "It might be hard to translate Cassia's inner struggle on film. Not sure how they would do that. I pictured her as sort of a Selena Gomez type. I don't know about the guys."

I see her as Selena Gomez too. For Ky, I've always see him as Misha Crosby, or someone who looks like him. I don't know about Zander though. In the second book, I don't know about Victor, or Indie. And I don't know about Cassia's brother.

Disney's apparently the company with the rights. So, I won't be surprised if it's Selena Gomez playing Cassia, Justin Beiber playing Xander, and David Henrie playing Ky. Not that I don't think these people aren't talented, but there are people who could fit these parts better. Plus, the book isn't really meant for the screen. It would probably be very slow and not very interesting. I mean, really all she does is fall in love, talk to an official about how it was all a test, and then have him taken away. It really wouldn't be that interesting.

Erica it would be cool.
but I agree with MJ.

Sophia I think the whole dystopian thing would be cool.

Bianca it would be cool, but i have a feeling that the producer would add a bunch of stuff that hardly makes sense, and take away some key plot scenes. :(

Yeah same...

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know. Some parts of the movie would be interesting but only if they had a great cast-like in the Hunger Games!

message 40: by Mara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mara Smith It is going to be a movie, but disney bought the rights

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

I hope it wont be a childish movie because Disney bought the rights ;(

Erin MJ wrote: "Disney's apparently the company with the rights. So, I won't be surprised if it's Selena Gomez playing Cassia, Justin Beiber playing Xander, and David Henrie playing Ky. Not that I don't think thes..."

Justin Bieber as Xander are you kidding me???? Way to murder a great book!!!

Suzanna Hoang I think that this is the kind of book that is great as a novel, but not so much as a movie. Don't get me wrong, I'm completely obsessed with the books, but I don't think it would make for a great film. There isn't much action, but if they did make it into a movie, I would still for sure watch it.

Stéphanie no. i would like it, and i would def watch it. but i think they should wait. the enviroment in this book is kinda similar in the hungergames and i think that they should wait after those have all gone in premiere

miguel In my opinion, i think the story of Matched would be better if it was a TV Show or a movie instead of a book. Honestly.
So yeah, i think the movie will be nice.
:)

Sabrina i would definetly watch the movie version of this book, i also agree with it coming out a while after the hungergames cuz its kind of similar. but it would be really great!

Lara Sabrina Lumang I hope that Lily Collins would be cast as Cassia, Logan Lerman as Ky, and Max Irons as Xander.

Sabrina Erin wrote: "MJ wrote: "Disney's apparently the company with the rights. So, I won't be surprised if it's Selena Gomez playing Cassia, Justin Beiber playing Xander, and David Henrie playing Ky. Not that I don't..."

I so agree Erin, I hate Justin Bieber, he'd ruin the great book!

Ifrah maybe. actually i think this book might be better as a movie than a book.

message 50: by i. (new) - rated it 4 stars

i. I liked the first book very much and not so much the second one ,although it may be better for a film because there is more action. However, films are usually worse than books and there are very few exceptions, right now I just can' think of a single one.
