I didn't like Snape until I saw the "To Your Grave I Spoke" video on Youtube, so my favorite character would have to be Lupin.
Lupin was awesome, too! :) The thing I didn't like about him was how he was a bystander when Snape was getting bullied :/ He regrets it though..
Favorite human character, other than Harry himself? Hermione.Favorite Weasley? George.
Favorite Hogwarts professor? Professor McGonagal.
Favorite non-human character? Fawkes.
Favorite couple? Lupin and Tonks.

My favorite characters are Remus Lupin, Neville Longbottom, and the Weasley twins.

Hmm . . . definitely not Harry! No one has mentioned him for quite a while. For me, I'd say Snape. Can't believe what he died for.

Lupin, absolutely.I do wish we had learned more about McGonnagal. She's so badass, she definitely could be a contender for a favorite... but I feel like I don't know her enough. Perhaps if Pottermore ever comes out :)

Severus Snape. Being his own person draws me to him, despises him but never the less, made him memorable. Then having the story of Lily being her secret love, at 5, it made me all gushy inside.
Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom;Both of them were so underestimated for the majority of the series, but in the end they both prevailed and became heroes.
The Twins.
The were the jokesters. They always created light in the darkest of situations.
Severus Snape:
He truly was the bravest of them all.

I love Harry and Dumbledore and the Weasley twins. Even Hermione.
Luna Lovegood, Fred and George and Sirius. It's hard to choose.
My Favorite character is Dobby. He was so innocent and loyal. He gave his life to save his friends. I cried when I read his death in the book. I even cried when I saw it in the movie, even though I knew that it was coming. He was a truly exceptional House Elf and by far my favorite character.

Wow! I thought I knew mine when I first logged onto this discussion, but then I made the mistake of reading everyone else's posts and now I can't choose! You all have such great reasons for your favorites! I was going to say Harry because he is always true to himself and to what he has to do, even after finding out that he has to die! All he asks is that his loved ones are with him. He doesn't even want to say goodbye to any of the others because he knows they'll try to stop him. And then there's Luna. She is a total flower child in a witch's hat! She's witty and wonderfully smart, which is why she's in Ravenclaw. I love her sense of self, her unbridled weirdness, her total lack of self-consciousness and her belief in everything! She is the epitome of a good friend.
Of course, there's Hermione, Dobby, Ron, Snape, Dumbledore, the twins, McGonagall (!!!), and about 20 others, too. Oy.
Hagrid! I almost forgot Hagrid! And, OMG, Neville!!! What was I thinking?!?!
Why I picked who I did. Hermione because she's smart and not afraid to show it. Ginny because she shows girl power with her spells you don't want to get her bat boggie hex, Hedwig because she's cute. Crookshanks because she's a smart fluffy cat. and I already gave a reason for Rosie and Scorp
