Welcome Charles! It's always nice for me to see someone with ties to Canada in our group.
Thanks! I'm both a British and Canadian citizen. But the British connection is the deepest - father from Melton Mowbray, mother from Sheffield. I was born in Henley-on-Thames when my father was stationed there at an RAF base that is now gone, replaced by a housing estate! After high school in Canada (Hamilton, Ontario), I went back to England for university (Sheffield, Metallurgy), was married in England. Later in my career, I spent four years on business assignment in Norwich at Lotus Engineering. So I like to think of myself as a British ex-pat author here in the USA.
