Mark Jacobs | 9 comments Recent addition to Goodreads who enjoys both reading and writing. I'm a professional journalist with several published non-fiction books - mostly martial arts related - who is in the process of dusting off some old novels sitting on my computer and offering them as ebooks. My interests as a writer vary from the thriller genre to satire to more literary endeavors. Since I don't want to be accused of spamming, anyone interested in learning more, feel free to go to my author's page.

Jonathan Worlde | 4 comments Hi, I just discovered and joined this group. By way of introduction the first time only I'll mention my three hard-boiled noir books, 2 recent e-books, Deep in the Cut and Philly Rouge, and my first book, Latex Monkey with Banana that became a mini-cult classic before the publisher went bankrupt the year the book was published in 2003. I'm currently reading, as I do every year, the series Best Mystery Stories of >>>> and Best Crime Writing of >>>> the latter of which I always find so fascinating it's hard to stop reading. I'm a fan of pulp fiction as well as great noir films, given my own background as a film maker.

Mark Jacobs | 9 comments Hey, someone hijacked my thread. Get your own thread, buddy.

Just kidding, the more the merrier. Anyway, just wanted to mention I’ve finally come into the 21st century and started up a website, which will eventually consist of excerpts from my novels, articles accumulated during my time as a professional journalist, commentaries on martial arts, and other assorted rubric. Check it out.

D.G. LOL, Mark. Welcome!

You have a very interesting background. Martial Arts expert and poker pro? Is it because you have to fight in casinos? ;)

Anyhow, I just got your book. Can't promise to read it right away because my TBR is out of control but I'll get to it one of these days. I don't have any interest in poker but I liked your sense of humor so I figured it could be an interesting read. :)
