Dramapuppy I haven't read Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It is a light mindless book aimed at reluctant readers. It resorts to cheap humor.

Smile, on the other hand, is thought-provoking and tells a real story.

So, Smile. Definitely Smile.

Chloe Chambers Smile loved it a lot better

Smile

Shut Up, I'm Reading. Both are very different books, but I would have to say Smile. I read it a few years ago , and yet it is still my 'go-to' book when I'm down. It just helps me know that whatever teenager problem I'm going through, it will always get better. Diary of A Wimpy Kid offered my many laughs when I was a kid, but honestly I find Greg so annoying and bratty!

Jakiah Smile

message 159: by Emily (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emily I like Smile better. Diary of a Wimpy Kid was more "humor" but smile was more relatable for me and it was funny too but like I said it was more realistic.

There is a second one. It's good, but not quite as good IMO.

message 163: by Rehan (new) - rated it 4 stars

Rehan Smile
way better
why do people like diary of a wimpy kid so much?

message 164: by [deleted user] (new)

I like both.I think they are both interesting and funny

ツ Kierstin ツ I think that Smile was a lot better because it was involved with real-life experiences.
I always believed that Diary of a Wimpy Kid was boyish, as well. I only read it because I liked the feeling of saying that I had read it.

Mykaela Smile is a lot better because she bases it off of herself which I love!

PotatoFroYo Meg wrote: "SMILE!!!! I hated Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It was just so immature and boyish."

Ikr smile was easier 2 connect 2

Chris Eicher diary of a wimpy kid

****Kelly***** Smile!! Diary of a wimpy kid was OK at first but i guess the author is running out ideas because its worse and worse. Also the movie was horrible.

Cierra and Alexa Petersen I loved Smile. I haven't read D.W.K. yet but I don't want to dis it or anything because it reminds me a lot a bought "Dork Diaries." Which I love, but I have seen the movies and I think Smile has more of a point to it. D.W.K. I guess is meant for guys.

message 173: by Yadira (new) - rated it 5 stars

Yadira i would choose smile because diary of a wimpy kid is to dorky no offence to people that read it

message 174: by Eva (new) - rated it 5 stars

Eva smile is more real in terms of what happens so you can relate more. from medical problems family problems friend problems and an earthquake. it wins

Women have had to fight to be heard. For most of history, women were expected to keep silent. In their traditional roles as wives and mothers, their sphere of influence was home and family. That sphere kept them out of the public eye. Some determined women refused to be prevented from participating in public life. Even when they risked being accused of unacceptable female behavior, women began to speak up. In the 19th century, women were the moving force behind a number of reform issues. Many of those issues related to their sphere of influence: the home and what was in the best interest of families. Women worked to end slavery and child labor. They supported women’s rights and temperance. In the 20th century, women’s roles in society changed more dramatically. More women spoke up. They addressed larger and broader audiences. Here are a few women whose public words are remembered today as particularly inspiring and courageous.
