We did ask if there were objectors, a good few days before Jim expedited the date. However, silly as it may sound, I myself got interrupted while watching the film last week and have actually not managed to watch the end of it, so if you can still read the two very short stories and watch the film before tomorrow, I'll join you then.

..and in my defense, I asked for it it only to be expedited to Friday, not Tuesday... :P

But mea partly culpa, sorry about that, we did post about it a lot before starting though...

Sorry didn't really mean to make a fuss; I logged in to check dates for Sound &Fury (because I'm away early May) and I found the Rashomon discussion had already started. I'd had no notification about that - the one I received said it was to start on the 16th. So my complaint here was made without reference to earlier entries.
I'm new to this game, so still finding my feet...

No harm, no foul. There were a few members who were hot to discuss these stories, so I jumped the gun to accommodate their enthusiasm. We do have an ambitious schedule for the year, so there will be no further early starts.

Reading about all of the folks early starting...hopefully it's ok if I join so late ( month after you all). Just wanted to let you know I recently joined because your book selections and discussions look so great. I suppose at this point I'm more lurker, but as time goes on I hope to make comments. I got the Penguin ebook version. I saw the movies a few years ago on TCM. Fabulous.
