Tyler Hinkson This read is a bunch of interconnected short stories that are quite raw and crude. I enjoyed this book because it was interesting and nothing like any of the books we've read so far. It shows how a person can mature beyond their years when it is required of them. It also shows how much different life is from ours.

Erin Uhrick Diaz connects these short stories with the relationship of immigration, poverty, and abuse. I enjoyed reading this book because the scenery kept on changing, nothing got old or boring. However, these people are suffering a non-stop battle of trying to attain the "American Dream." In which is sad to listen to their stories because none ever end up happy. Papi really drives me crazy and I feel as if he is the root to these troubles.
