Phyllis | 41 comments I just finished a week or so ago book 2 of the Naughty series by Brenda Hampton. I enjoy this series and picked up book 3 from the library today.

Momreadstoomuch I am on book 2 of the L.A. Banks Vampire Huntress series and the J. R. Ward Brotherhood series.

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments I just finished book 7 (I believe) in the Nappily Series by Trisha R. Thomas. I'm in the midst of listening to a non-AA series right now. James Patterson Women's Murder Club series.

message 4: by Phyllis (new)

Phyllis | 41 comments I read the Vampire Huntress series for a while they are really good. I have to go back and look to see which book I stopped with on that one. Read the first in the Women's Murder Club series a long time ago and I think I have the 2nd book on my kindle. Starting the New Day Divas series by E.N. Joy. I do not know about you all, but every now and then I get in a reading rut where I need another book to read to kind of jumpstart my reading. Since joining Goodreads I have not been like that because there are so many recommendations and people to discuss books.

message 5: by Natasha (new)

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments I have to switch up genres to keep my reading flow going. I can't read too many of the same type of book in a row, I'll burn out!

message 6: by Tia (new)

Tia (booksovertv) Natasha, I agree.

I didnt know a book went to number 7 in a series. deep.

message 8: by Natasha (new)

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments They can go higher than that, look at Janet Evanovich's female bounty hunter series and lots of James Patterson books are series in high numbers.

message 9: by Sharell (new)

Sharell (luvly562) | 4 comments Wahida Clark's Thug Series... It's pretty good so far. I'm reading book#4.

@ Natasha and Wahida: thats why i don't know, I don't read janet or james. I have a few of james but have not read them yet. i'm going to check out Wahida clark's thug series.

message 11: by Kim (new)

Kim (str8kim) @Natasha, how did you like book #7? It was my least favorite in the series. It just felt like Venus totally stepped out of character.

message 12: by Tia (new)

Tia (booksovertv) @ Sharell, I have some books in the series but not in order so, I haven't read any of them yet. I'm trying to acquire them from PBS. It's a slow process. If there will be or are more than 3 books in a series I won't read it/them.

message 13: by Kim (new)

Kim (str8kim) @Tia, what is your name on pbs?

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments Kimberley wrote: "@Natasha, how did you like book #7? It was my least favorite in the series. It just felt like Venus totally stepped out of character."

I liked #7, it seemed like it was shorter than the others but I always go into reading her books knowing its going to be a happy ending. I just felt there could have been more to the story before getting to the end. Venus did seem a bit more tame but I just looked at it because of the cameras all around and having newborns. Lol, I'm writing this like I'm talking about a real person...

Interesting. Have you had good experiences through this site? I have a ton of books at home that I wouldn't mind swapping..

message 18: by Kim (new)

Kim (str8kim) yep. I've been trying to get rid of all my physical books. I still have a lot, but have gotten rid of about 30 since I've been on pbs.

I also get a lot of books that I don't want to pay the actually price for, like a lot of the kimani press new releases, and just older books that I've never read that are apart of series.

Its been a good experience so far.

I've read all the Evanovich Stephanie Plum series. And J.D. Robb is up to 32 or 33.

message 20: by Natasha (new)

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments Thanks Kimberley, I'll have to check them out =)!

@Arzella, thanks I couldn't remember the name of her series and was too lazy to look it up lol!

I agree Natasha because if I do not switch it up it takes me a lot longer to finish what I am reading.

When I began, I didn't do stipulations like ( no library, soiled, ripped, pet haired books and w/Dust Jackets). I still have people who send me their crummy books anyway and that's annoying but overall a good experience. I collect AA books and cover them to make a Library for Family. I live in CA and it's extremely difficult to get AA books of any kind w/out driving very very far. There's Amazon but only the current novels are available 2000 - now. That's one of the reasons I got a kindle because Authors were making their old catalog of books available.

message 34: by Kim (new)

Kim (str8kim) make sure you add at least 10 because they then give you 3 free credits to order books from other people.

message 35: by Natasha (new)

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments I read that, well it said 2 credits now.. Do I need to add 10 at once or just when I have added 10?

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments Thanks Angelia. It says I need 2 more I think to get the credits. I'm slow lol. Hopefully I will get around to making a wish list this weekend as well as at least posting two more books.

I can't do bookswapping by mail, I am extremely particular about my books, I have to be able to look at them and touch them. I own a Nook, but I am a book person, and have purchased books at a 2nd hand book store but I have to pick them out, if they are too icky, I pass on it...
