I'm just over in Highland. I used to live in Lehi for about four years before moving here.

yeah i think all us newbies have realized that about taylor. he's not exactly... subtle.. about his craziness. hahahaa. :)
btw guys, my little bro announced today that he has his own hand collection. i'm getting nervous that this whole chopping-off-hands thing is contagious. 'cause between the two of your guys, i'm really going to have to start protecting my hands well. and emily can't protect my hands at my house:( hehe.

Thought of that already.
((Btw, I'm not normally this crazy. I do hate cats, but I don't have the stomach to kill them. And hand removal is messy -- my lawnmower taught me that.))

Actually, I'm omnipresent, you see.

HEY. MANDY. GUESS WHO'S MOVING TO PROVO IN LESS THAN A WEEK AND THEREFORE WILL ALSO BE 18 MINUTES AWAY FROM YOU.

You're moving to Provo? Also, you're going to be more like 35 minutes away -- I'm in the neighboring city and that's how long the drive is.

Yeah. I'm going to live with my sister there. I need a change of scenery, my parents want some proof that I can handle a more solitary life, and I would have needed to move soon anyway because they've been called as Mission Presidents.
Huh. I looked up driving directions to Lehi (I meant Orem, not Provo--silly me) and it said around 18 minutes.

Wait…so are you moving to Orem or Provo?
And they've been called as mission presidents? Which mission?

I'm moving to Orem.
Melbourne, Australia. Technically, it isn't supposed to be public knowledge yet, but someone in my ward let it slip and now everyone knows anyway. XD

You should climb a cell phone tower and announce it. That is so cool.

So I looked up the wiki article for Mission President, but I still don't completely understand the position. Would someone care to explain it to me?

Here's the scoop -- you've got 55,000 LDS missionaries out there right now. Each of them are assigned to a specific area that could cover half a state to a few small countries. These are called missions. The person who is in charge of a mission is a guy (usually middle-aged) who is called by the prophet to make sure the gospel is being spread properly and effectively -- this is the mission president. Does that make sense?

I'm not totally sure of it either. As the title would imply, it's just presiding over a mission area, which also entails talking to all the new missionaries in said area, supervising them, checking up on them to make sure they're teaching what they should be, keeping them safe, just making sure everything runs smoothly.

I'll stay here until I've finished my freshman year of college, and then I'll go stay with them for a few months.

Thanks. :)
Thanks. :)

I'm 'posed to be hanging out with Emmie today, and she's not answering either of her numbers. Can someone come up with a brilliant way to get ahold of her?
