Oh, those "life is just fine" stories are worthless. Well…not entirely true…Savannah writes some pretty good ones…but I just wish I knew how to tackle the big boy issues without dragging my reader to the pits of despair. Like my poetry friend who talked about how amazing his father was despite being a drunkard. That poem left me feeling amazing and uplifted.

Speaking of Savannah, I was just discussing this with her and she's giving me a hard time over my morbid story ideas. I want to stop. I really do.

taylor, it's your writing, so you should never feel obligated to change the topic/tone/whatever because of someone else. and honestly, what you write is what you feel, ya know? it's like getting the stuff out of your head, all of your emotion. so whatever comes out, comes out-- whether it's about the "good" stuff or the "bad" stuff.
