If you were to talk to the author, what would you want to know?

Will Charley have a HEA?

Can Artemis bite real people? What a secret weapon she would make :D

Will Donovan be important to the story? Will he actually betray her for some motorcycle parts? Why is it taking sooo long for Charley to know her real powers? Why are the angels so afraid of Reyes? Will Reyes stand and fight against his father? Can Charley and Reyes have babies? Will Cookie and Ubie be a couple? Hum!... I'm sure there's more lol

Reyes has always called Charley Dutch, but where did he get that nickname from?

I'm with Cindy...can Artemis bite or intimidate people or will she just be a guardian against ghosts, demons, and otherworldly beasties.

Will we ever find out what is up with Mr. Wong?

Will Garrett remember what he found out during his trip to heaven (and Mr. Wong) so he can help Charley out?

As Charley's powers emerge and the fight with the demons heats up, will the PI business slack off or will we still see that aspect of the plot lines in the books? Ohhh...if Charley needs to slack off on the PI side, maybe she would take Garrett on as a partner so he could take care of those cases?

One thing for Darynda that isn't about the series...what kind of car does she drive? The Dodge Dames want to know :)

I can't stop wondering if her father is as big as Reyes' father. It suddenly sounds a bit like Romeo and Juliet... But I think that makes it somewhat clearer why Reyes thinks she shouldn't waste her time caring about humans. He probably thinks humans should build temples to adore her ;)

Oh my goodness! Now, I really cannot wait for book 4. Reyes frustrates me again in this short story. He is always protecting her. When will he learn to work with her? They would be stronger together.

Who is her real family? When will we meet them? Where are they?

The only thing I can think of for how Reyes met her centuries ago is some sort of reincarnation or something.

I loved the story from Reyes's pov! But so many secrets... he better tell Charley about her family, or how else is she going to learn about it? From the nun, maybe? I doubt Leland really knows much. He doesn't seem quite like he'd be on board with the whole reaper thing. He must know something, but maybe thinks that if he doesn't acknowledge it, it's not real. Just speculating here....

So I can't remember what discussion this was in, but I heard a song today and it reminded me of Charley and Reyes. It's called Dark Paradise by Lana Del Ray. Check it out and let me know what u guys think. I will keep looking for a link so it's easier to find.

He met her centuries ago while he was looking for Heaven's gates. He fell in love:

You're quite right Candie, the lyrics are similar to Charley's feelings. Even though she was struggling to stay awake instead of asleep, it was a dark paradise indeed!
