Well, i have just finnished Catching Fire, and i was kinda confused... How did Katniss escape for the grounds?? i know they attacked her, but after that, i just didnt get it. Where did she wake up and why? Why didnt she die? and most importantly, Why did the games stop? Please Help!!

You'll find the answers to that in Mockinjay. I presume that if you've come this far in the series, you'll want to finish.

This is an AMAZING compilation of "What happened at the end of the Quarter Quell" by HoppingInTrees, a moderator at the HungerGamesTrilogy site. Fyi... LOTS OF SPOILERS!!!!!!

(view spoiler)["Katniss and Johanna start running back toward to beach, unwinding the wire. Someone cuts the wire, most likely one of the Careers, either Enobaria or Brutus. Johanna panics, because things aren't going according to plan, and so, because she thinks it's one of the Careers who cut the wire, she knocks Katniss out with the spool of wire and cuts out the tracker, before running off to lead the Careers away.

Meanwhile, befre the wire is cut, Beetee, being the scientific guy, tells Peeta and Finnick to head off to another section, probably the section between 12 and 1 o'clock so they can be well out of range of the lightning (though in fact, he wants them out of range of being harmed by the lightning coming in to contact with the force field). After the wire is cut loose, he stabs the knife in to the force field, hoping it'll go through so that when the lightning strikes, it will conduct through the wire and in to the force field. But instead, the force field throws him back, making him unconscious.

At some point, someone is killed (I think it might be Chaff), and everybody hears a cannon shot. Finnick panics and worries that it's either Katniss or Johanna or Beetee(which is why Katniss saw him calling out for them while she made her way back to the tree), so he goes back to the tree, sees Beetee unconscious, and cuts out the tracker, before running off to find everyone.

Katniss eventually finds her way back to the tree. She finds Beetee on the ground with his arm bleeding. Beetee is holding a knife wrapped wire which is attached back to the tree. It is unknown if he already tried throwing it through the chink or somehow getting it through the force field, though Katniss is confused as to what he was trying to do.

Katniss hears Peeta, but he sounds far off. Knowing it would be futile to try to find him, she just tries to draw the attention of others to herself. Finnick and Enobaria come. During this time, Chaff and Brutus have been killed. Katniss is about to try shooting Enobaria when she figures out the true enemy is the Capitol. She takes the wire from Beetee's knife, puts it on an arrow, and shoots it through the Chink. The lightening strikes (midnight) and the energy is carried to the force-field, messing it up. The whole force-field blows up around the arena. Most of the (unimportant) tributes still alive, die. All the ones that are still alive are knocked unconscious by the blow of the force-field.

A district 13 hovercraft fleet comes in and quickly swoops down and manages to take with them Katniss, Finnick, and Beetee. They don't have time to save anyone else because now the Capitol's hovercrafts are fighting with the District 13 hovercrafts. 13's hovercrafts are trying to escape with the 3 tributes back to district 13.

They end up making it out of the arena area, and are on their way back to district 13. Katniss (after being practically brought back from the dead) wakes up from her unconscious state. But, she believes she has been taken by the Capitol, and will be tortured for what she had done to the force field. Curious to find out what will happen, she leaves her hospital bed, and finds a room, and in the room, finds the answers to what had just happened from Haymitch and Plutarch, the head gamemaker (He was secretly a rebel all along).

One thing they tell her is that most of the districts on on a full scale rebellion. They are fighting back against the capitol in their own districts. The most disturbing news she hears is that they weren't able to rescue Peeta.

When she learns this about Peeta, she goes crazy. She tries to kill Haymitch, even, using her finger nails. Soon, she is drugged and taken back to her hospital bed.

She finds out that their is no district 12. She learns this from Gale, who comes to her when she is in her 'zoned-out' state of mind. Thankfully, he tells her that her mother and Prim made it out alive." (hide spoiler)]

And to specifically answer you questions:

1) She wakes up on a hover-craft. After she blew up the force field, district 13 came and picked her up. They picked her up to save her. If she would have stayed, then the Capitol would have punished her. Also, district 13 needs a 'symbol' to hep lead the upcoming rebellion against the capitol. They also managed to save Finnick and Beetee.

2) She didn't die because district 13 came and barely saved her from death. She, Finnick, and Beetee were on the verge of dying when the hovercraft picked them up from the arena.

3) The games stopped for many reasons, that all happened at virtually the same time:
A: because well, the force-field had blown up. If the force-field blew up, what would hold them in the arena?
B: district 13 entered the game. They came in, and stole what what technically 'the capitols tributes.' What would the Capitol do without some of the tributes in the games? (hide spoiler)]
