If you were 13-17 and you were about to be unwound, would you still think it's cool and adventurous? Especially because there's no certainty that you'll be able to find the resistance. There's a better chance of you not even finding out about your unwinding, and/or not being able to escape from the juvey cops' clutches or any other dangers presented to you than of joining up with the resistance.

It could happen, but it's very unlikely. What 18 yr. old would agree to have the possibility of being unwound? There are also many people who believe that unwinding is inhumane and that the cons outweigh the pros. Scientists are probably closer to regrowing organs with your own cells than to slowly taking your body apart while you're still conscious.
